马特洪峰

全新 Silver Efex Pro

Daily Photo - The MatterhornFor most of my life, I've generally only known the Matterhorn for the ride in Disneyland! I mean, I always knew it was a real mountain... and I've seen photos of it and stuff... but seeing it there in the middle of the Alps was really cool. I think I was lucky while here in Zermatt, Switzerland. I understand that it is often occluded by clouds, so this was a lucky day indeed! Zermatt was a really great little town -- I'd love to go back and spend some more time there!from the blog www.stuckincustoms.com

Now that’s what I’ve been waiting for, ever since you mentioned Zermat. Just gorgeous. Yes that mountain is in the clouds a lot. Your lucky day! Thanks for sharing, Trey.

Have only seen it at a distance, but yes you were blessed. Thats one place you will see stars on a clear night.Very dramatic and cold looking.

Great shot. Nice black and white too (or should I say “black and silver”?).

  • Gail Moshier

Cool shot in black and white(silver) as Patrick says. Must have been thrilling to see the real Matterhorn!! Thanks, Trey. Have a wonderful Veteran’s Day. Don’t forget to thank every Vet you see today. :-)

does the fact that the Today show was there yesterday have anything to do with this photo being posted today? Either way, it’s an amazing place that has now been put on my list of spots I must visit….so where is the roller coaster in this photo?

I really like this one Trey. I think the way you captured the mountain with what looks to be an observatory in the foreground is pretty cool! I love HDR black and whites as well. I’ve done some similar work when I went to Whistler, BC earlier this year. You can see some of it here if you wish:

That’s a great photo, not one I would have made B&W myself but great shot of the Matterhorn and really cool clouds. I’d like to get there someday, we spent out time in Switzerland in the Jungfrau region and it was absolutely amazing, such a beautiful country.

Great composition with the observatory in the foreground. Love this in silver. The clouds are amazing. Mountain always seem to create interesting cloud formations. I’ve only photographed mountains in Oregon and Washington – Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helen’s (before and after it blew up), and Mt. Rainier. They almost always obliged by creating great cloud formations.

Beautiful image! I also saw Matt Lauer on the Today Show reporting from there yesterday. I definitely want to go there, what a wonderful view!

Oh wow- I definitely wish I could see more of these!

    Hey Trey,
let me know when you come back in Switzerland.
    I know some intersting places.
Did you go to Aletsch and the Jungfrau ?
It’s quite expensive but it worth it.

    Take care,

    Thomas

Surreal dramatic sky and clouds. Like how the cloud embfrazes the mountain peek. The SEP filter really pops up the scene. Just wondering about the “fingerprint” up in the right corner, – is it a part of the sky?
