Exploring NimesAfter sitting down for thirty minutes waiting on the right light (see my previous Nimes photo by clicking the category above the comments), I walked around the left side of the structure. I liked all the cafes and the road and it all seemed balanced... so I set up for a wide-angle shot. You'll notice that I cut off the top and bottom... they didn't add much to the photo, and they gave the whole thing a more cinematic feel.- Trey RatcliffRead more here at the Stuck in Customs blog.

Just seen your taxi ride video on Google+ Trey! Funny as! Would have made me laugh even more if as you were leaving he shouted in clear English “Have a nice day! Ha ha ha!”

Beautiful image today Trey. Just wanted to share with you as well that your webinar sessions I was part of a few months ago must be paying off. Have got my first exhibition coming up next month!! Very excited! Any tips would be very welcome!

:D DD Fantastic video today! It doesn’t matter it’s not photography related, I laughed my a** off! “It’s a fax machine!” Thank you for cheering me up! I hope you got there without harm, he looked pissed off with you and your camera. :)

I love photos with light trails.

I’m fairly new to photography but tried to capture light trails outside the Houses of Parliament in London.

Very nice photo. I like the cropping, you mentioned this in one of your books or videos or on a podcast that you often do cropping like this to cut out uninteresting parts of the photo and I’ve started doing this on occasion with my own photos and it definitely adds something. I had always left my photos in the same proportions as the photo was taken in for no good reason but there are definitely times like this that you can completely change a photo for the better with different cropping.

Next time you are in Nimes, drive north from Nimes, 30 minutes on country roads, and you will find the Cevennes (a mountain chain) with amazing views and strange colors; perfect for photography. BTW, awesome shot of the arenas. Nimes is so beautiful.

As they say, it is more about the photographer and his skills than about his tools! Your vision here is awesome!
