Houston at Dusk

I’ve had (the pleasure) to go to Houston a few (too many) times this year.  I always end up staying downtown, which affords me some good opportunities to take photos at dusk.  Usually I am busy (being drained) and can’t actually get out to shoot at sunset, so whenever I have a chance, I do my best to get a good one.

This was shot from the top of the Magnolia Hotel, which is a very cool place to stay, if you ever make it down thataway.

    Another fantastic photo Trey! It’s getting really hard to find new ways of complimenting your photo since they are all so great! You have really made me into a huge fan of HDR photography and I can only hope that one of these days my photos will look as good as yours. :)

    I’m not sure whether it is your new camera, or a refinement in your processing, but the detail in your shots seems to be getting better and better with each upload! A realy nice shot, though my only gripe, is the building on the right seems a bit ‘cut off’ if you know what I mean : )

    i was wondering what sort of shutter speed you used to get the blurs of the cars, also, which is better: photomatix, hdr max, or some other software?

    This is just WOW when you go on the org. size you can read the cop cars number. The details you get with you D3x is amazing!! There is no way my D40 could even come close to that much detail. Nice HDR once again Try:)

    In this case, there was a pool up there. The angle wasn’t quite right so I took a maintenance latter down to a better spot.
