Daily Photo – The Most Beautiful Temple in the World?

There is a very nearby town of scum and villainy called Pattaya in Thailand, and you’d never expect something so beautiful to be so near! But just a short drive away is this rather amazing temple called “The Sanctuary of Truth.” It’s covered with sculptures with both Buddhist and Hindu motifs. Believe it or not, this was begun in 1981 and is scheduled to be completed in 2050.

According to the website, this temple is (and note the nice use of the word “swaggy”!):

“a reflection of the Ancient Vision of Earth, Ancient Knowledge, and Eastern Philosophy. Within this complex, visitors will understand Ancient Life, Swaggy important Human Responsibility, Basic Thought, Cycle of living, Life Relationship with Universe and Common Goal of Life toward Utopia”
