Daily Photo – Alone in the Vast Expanse of Antarctica
This photo was taken at about 2 AM out on the main continent of Antarctica. This is a massive frozen lake that backs up against a mountain and glacier network. You can see that it was just barely warm enough to melt the middle of the lake… I was thinking it might be fun to walk out there until it started to crack… and then I started thinking that would not be fun at all!
