La Défense in Paris

Thanks for all the great feedback

We’re glad people are enjoying the recently released “Midnight in Paris”! It looks like most people are buying the “Bonus” version of it that has all the extra videos for $4 more. Keep the good feedback coming… and if you’ve never bought anything from the store before, no worries. It’s easy, and if you aren’t 100% happy, then you can have all your money back… so no risk at all, and everything to gain! :)

Daily Photo – La Défense in Paris

The new, modern downtown area of Paris is certainly worth a trip! It’s just 20 minutes through the subway to emerge into this area. I never really wanted to go down here, even though I kept hearing good things about it. To me, it wasn’t really Paris, you know… modern buildings and all. But, once I got down here, I was very excited. There are a ton of cool buildings and a thousand great compositions waiting to be had!

I would probably put this area at the foot of my ‘List of things to do in Paris’ list if I was going here again – i’m still a sucker for the more traditional stuff although on the few occasions that i’ve shot more modern buildings the results have been okay. These ones are of the Glasgow Science centre and IMAX cinema :-

What isn’t completely obvious from this perspective is that this building forms an arch. My understanding is that it was designed to line up perfectly with the Arc de Triomphe though it ended up being off by a few degrees.

Great photo of La Defense – I actually think this building looks better at night than during the day. I also understand there is a viewing gallery but i havent actually been up yet.
