Farm in the Vastness

Special Events

During the last live class, I mentioned a few special events. No worries – we are still planning those. They are taking a bit of time for us to get our heads around and properly plan, but we’ll put something together that is amazing! :) More info in the future…

Daily Photo – Farm in the Vastness

When you drive across Iceland, scene after scene is soooo…. epic! You just get this feeling of a vastness that permeates everything. There is a kind of timelessness in the architecture too, like you are unsure if something is new or quite old.

I felt this way when I passed through this valley full of farms with a little farmhouse right in the middle.

This is awesome Trey. I love the way the light is hitting the ridge behind.

Sweet shot! The scale of the hole scene is great! It looks quiet.

Love the light and shadows, the house looks like a shoe box with a lid.

Wow this scene brings back memories – I used to play football (or soccer to my American friends) at the foot of the Campsie Hills here in Scotland and it looked just like this on a clear crisp November afternoon – it was a joy to be a substitute there…..I never got a game despite a decent goalscoring record.
Have a new computer after breaking 3 in the last three weeks so will hopefully get back into SIC and my photography now.
Any joy finding a suitable breed of dog? I saw you were after ideas and was going to suggest a pug but noticed you wanted one that didn’t shed it’s fur which was a shame – you would have had many an hour of fun with one :)

Fantastic shots. Love pictures from Iceland. The country offers so much of awesome lights and views. I was just sent a new book with photos from paradise island. It’s called “Two in one” and it’s full of great shots taken by and Icelandic photographer called Sverrir
Björnsson. Stunning shots there too. The book can be seen here: http://twoinone.is/
Can anyone recommend more photo books from Iceland?
