Spanish Streets at Night

A Fun Birthday!

I woke up this morning to find my kids had hung this over the fireplace. :)

We’re still renting a place here at the Commonage (best view in Queenstown!) until we move into the final house in a few weeks. Until then, we are making the most out of this fireplace because it is pretty cold in this city now in the middle of winter!

Daily Photo – Spanish Streets at Night

The old part of Ibiza is has a medieval layout where the inner city is ringed by a city curtain wall. Once inside, all the streets are narrow and twisty and lined with different kinds of stone. This looks back at the main entrance to the area.

I haven’t spent as much time in some of these ancient old cities as I would like. There is a lot of satisfaction in setting up for shots in these areas. It’s nice to take my time and compose this and that… I find great enjoyment in this!

    Happy Birthday Trey!

I agree, the old part of town in so many European cities is fascinating, the old city walls and winding streets have such a different feel from anything you see in the United States.

If this had been taken in the US, there would be an ugly railing along the wall because someone certainly sued the city when they fell off the edge. Glad to see there are still some risky places out there to visit! And Happy Birthday, too, Trey! I enjoyed the family picture as well.

Excellent photo. For some strange reason, to me it looks a lot like it was rendered in a video game engine or something. It might have to do with the lighting, maybe.

A great spot for fun. (And a great shot, too.) A bit of an insiders tip for you: Ibiza is great, but Menorca…now you’re talking!
