Exploring Tokyo

Rothfuss Recap

Have you read “The Name of the Wind” yet?  I hope so…  Here is a recap of my talk with the author of the book…  And if you’ve read it, then you know why someone like me would like that book – I hope you do too!

Daily Photo – Exploring Tokyo

Some architecture just feels “Japanese.”  I don’t know what that means, but there are some situations that just feel like they fit better in modern Japan than other countries.

You might also remember this from the video I did from Japan.  There was this scene where a girl’s high heels were walking across this lighted ground at night in slo-mo.  This is that same place from a different perspective during the day.

Yea,Just looking at the photo without even seeing Susan’s comment i said to myself the subway if you can call it that seems to go on forever. I feel though most wide angle lenses give you that perspective of depth. Very nice.

Kind of strikes me as one giant IT department where you could pull up any of the floor tiles and run a new network cable if you needed to :)

I absolutely loved this interview … after watching your Google+ finale I went out and grabbed “The Name of the Wind” and am just a few chapters into it… love it so far.  But it was so fun to watch you two chatting … I’m amazed at how broad the interests and knowledge run … and how crazy intellectual you both are while remaining quite ummmm… approachable?  The George Lucas comments on creativity were great. Thanks for doing this Trey … would love to see more of your influences …
