This is a place that no tourist would find… I found it by accident and put it into Stuck On Earth!  You’ll find this area inside the “Sample” trip of Paris.

Daily Photo – The Holy Halls

I returned here a second time with Scott Kublin to show him my little discovery.  We didn’t have much time… and I don’t like to be rushed… but we did our best to move quickly around this area and squeeze in as many shots as we could!  This is one of my favorites, a view down one of the long rows of unusual columns and vaulted ceilings…

Wow – so beautiful and large – I bet you really enjoyed it there! Love all those details – like being there!

I can’t even imagine what it must be like to figure out the angles and amounts of material you need to build a building with such incredible detail and scale. Especially when your working with stone! Wow Trey, thank you for seeing this picture and stopping to snap it.

Great tones. Very gothic style. Did almost shot the same photo and composition with another church:

Trey,  the family and I accidentally stumbled across this church during our quest for Italian gelato at Amorino the last time we were in Paris.  It’s great hearing the kids say “Hey dad, we’ve been to that place!” Great shot!
