Favorite Fish?

While posting this photo, I was thinking of my favorite fish restaurant in the world about 20 km from this spot below.  They didn’t have my favorite kind of fish, which is black cod, but they did have a delicious selection.  What’s your favorite?

Daily Photo - Lonely River in Iceland

I wonder sometimes if I project my own emotions onto the landscape around me.  I’m really not all that dramatic, but sometimes this does seem to be the case, especially in Iceland.  Since I spend so much time there alone, I end up thinking that parts of the environs seem kind of lonely too.  And I think there is probably a lot of truth in it because I hardly ever see any other humans, so everything is very lonely!

Very nice,a beautiful lead in which takes your eye all the way to the distant mountains. Like the picket fence to the right as if to say this is my property keep off yet no one in sight.

Cedar plank grilled salmon.  But a very lot of others are in a close second.

Funny. I just wrote something about being too dramatic yet when I look at your photographs I want to be able to show how beautifully dramatic my place is (rural Mississippi). Without being too dramatic, Trey, I should tell you that your photographs inspire me, make me want to be better. Thank you for that.

Hmm I think a good baked scrod might top my list, with lots of butter!

I’m getting more and more excited for my first trip to Iceland in mid-June. I had planned on going it alone but have recently enlisted a beautiful assitant – now I’m doubly excited. I can only spend 9 days there so going on a bit of a whirlwind tour. I’m calling it a taster. When I go back again I’ll know where I want to spend more time.

I’ve got one night to try out the Westfjords. I can’t get as far in as Isafjordur so will be staying in Reykholar about an hour from the ringroad. My plan is to spend the night winding my way to Latrabjarg and then back via Dynjandi.

Have you got any lesser known spots in that region? (I’ll be checking out Stuck on Earth some time this week)

Oh, and my favourite fish is a tossup between Wahoo and Tuna – both readily available offshore in Bermuda.

Hey Trey! I am empathetic; parts of the environs are lonely. But that is what draws me there. They are my places of “worship” if you will. Places to seek and hopefully find answers….for what it’s worth! As for my favorite fish…I’m all about the salmon (not farm raised)! Enjoy the lonely places!
