After the Blast Off

Other Rocket Photos and Richard Branson

So, if you know Richard Branson, show him these NASA Photos…  Tell him you know me and you want to get us together so I can take photos of his rocket ship.  I don’t know the guy yet, but I have a feeling we’d get along well.

Daily Photo – After the Blast Off

One thing that impressed me after the shuttle took off was the shadow across the top of the clouds.  I had never seen anything like it, and it was completely unexpected.  Of course, it makes perfect sense, but it’s one of those little after-the-fact-obvious things that makes you happy.

I have another offer to jump out of a plane with the US Army Golden knights DURING an upcoming rocket launch… and I can take photos on the descent.  That sounds pretty dang awesome and tough!

  • Such a cool shot……no more jumping out of planes-I am sure you can find something else awesome to shoot in NZ! 🙂

  • Trey, if you meet Richard Branson, please take me with you! 😀
Susan, yes I’m sure he has a list of new locations a mile long to see… Many of them only a few hours drive from me 😉

Susan,I would agree with you ,I may not be safe with my feet on the ground but I sure don’t like giving any of my 9 lives away, life is already to short. By the way Trey you can check the Australian camera prices on this blog —-camerasdirect.com.au—-they are or claim to be the cheapest and shop any where in Australia within 24 hours. Please put some glue on a chair before you check our prices as I don’t want you to fall off.
Nice  Pic but does not do much for me as here its not possible to visualise what you saw,it must have been awesome.

  • Photography = skydiving.  Or at least it should.

Very industrial looking weather on that shuttle launch, post-launch photo. Nice!

And wow, I could never jump out of an airplane – not that I have such an opportunity. Which camera would you take with you?

  •  The picture is really fascinating. The shadows of the clouds are captured as if a professional photographer has taken the picture. You have definitely captured the moment.

  • Nice photo!

  • If they asked me to jump, I would.  In 2003, I was part of a media group that went on the plane they jumped from, but we all stayed in the plane.  I wrote a bit to go with the pictures I took, and even though I didn’t jump, it was still a great flight.
