Daily Photo – Girl in Park in Beijing

I was walking around a park in Beijing — and it was quite unusual.  It was a city park, but it had all sorts of rides like Disneyworld.  Except, it wasn’t really very good.  It was quite dated and everything was spread out all over the place.  To get from one attraction to the other, you had to walk for almost a mile along lonely pathways.

There would be occasional clusters of people here and there, mysteriously milling about.  Inside one of the clusters was this girl, so I grabbed a quick shot with my 50mm lens on the D3s.

Trey, I remember a long time ago, you did a post about the titles of your photos….your title on this post is classic!! BTW, I like your new comment system here….cool!

  • I really love black and white images – it’s amazing how it can make an image seem timeless. I recall being a child and having difficulty imagining there being any colour in the world back in the day because all the photos i’d been used to seeing were colourless. I sometimes see these WW2 documentaries that have had colour added to the footage and as clever as that technique is it never looks right.
