Sunset at Glacier National Park

Any fun Thanksgiving Plans for y’all?

I know it’s a US-thing, and we have readers from all over… but y’all have anything fun going on for Thanksgiving?

Daily Photo – Sunset at Glacier National Park

I’m having a nice weekend processing photos. I just completed this one a few hours ago, and it brought back good memories of Glacier National Park. I don’t think I ever really got warm there. Even in the room there was a steady chill. This is a strange memory of that place… I normally don’t mind the cold as there are a few occasions to warm up and reset my system.

Lovely scene Trey – the water looks so warm and inviting – I guess from your description it’s super cold!:)

I know that water must be really cold, even though it has that nice warm glow from the sunset. Stunning colors and clever composition. Just love it.

I teach in England and one of my students was asking what this Thanksgiving malarky was all about. Not wishing to get it wrong I asked some of the American students in the class to explain. I was really surprised when they didn’t really know either…. and these were 15 year olds. Beautiful photo :)

Thanksgiving is like stuffin’ yourself with food, isn’t it? Just like Christmas? ;)

Great shot! I guess the name says it all regarding the cold!

We actually JUST finished baking our gimungous turkey. Now I am anxiously waiting for the other to arrive so we can chow down. Since we will be in London next week, an early Thanksgiving is just what was needed! BTW, I love the way the water looks in this photo Trey. Really cool.

Oh my goodness, American kids that didn’t know what Thanksgiving was about! It’s the day every year we give thanks, due to the fact that the story goes that the pilgrims shared a meal with some Native Americans on this day. No one is sure if it’s a true story or a myth, but we get together every year on the last Thursday of November and have a huge meal. We are lucky this year, our kids from Washington State are coming over, please pray they make it safely over the three passes on the way to our home. Also, Trey, I finally saved the beautiful photo you had on facebook yesterday in my pictures, found it, and it’s now on my desktop!! Now, to today’s photo. You know I love any photo you take in our State, this one is no exception, just beautiful!!!! Have a wonderful Sunday. Give thanks for the blessings you have been granted in your lives. :-)

Beautiful scene, I love the way the warm golden colors light up the dock! Here in South Carolina, the tradition is to have deep fried turkey instead of baked turkey, it’s delicious!

I like this one, nice job. As for us, we’ll be in Savannah Georgia, hopefully taking some sunrays around one of many city squares.

That is really beautiful, especially the light on the boats. And sunrays! I love sunrays!
I moved into my studio this past week so I’m going to be doing as many photo shoots as I can to pay for it ;) Otherwise, I hope to have a glorious dinner with my family for Thanksgiving. It’s going to be great: I love cooking, I love cooking for groups, and I LOVE cooking turkey for groups!!

    Hi Trey,
This whole park is my favorite place on earth. You’re standing in front of the Many Glacier Hotel looking across Swiftcurrent Lake, am I wrong? We used to jump into the waterfalls from the stream that flows out of Swiftcurrent, icy cold and crazy fun. So many great memories from my many visits there. Thanks for bringing that back and for the wonderful photo.
