The Tattoo Shop

Google Ripples

The analysis side of my brain loves this thing. Yesterday, I decided to share the work of a photographer named Jaime Ibarra. And then, this visualization of the information spread was created. Very cool!

With that chart, you can drag the timeline along the bottom to watch how things grow and spread over time. Cool! Also, you can zoom in and click on various bubbles.

Daily Photo – The Tattoo Shop

Speaking of Google, I did a Google+ hangout last night where I worked on this photo. I took it just recently at the San Francisco PhotoWalk with Thomas Hawk. It was a great night… so many sights to be seen there.

As usual, I had two cameras with me. One was for quick street shots with a 50mm prime. The other had my 14-24mm (see Nikon 14-24mm Review) on for these sorts of shots. I find that if I want to be on the sidewalk and take a photo of the store in front of me, I really need this kind of lens to squeeze it all in!

There it is. I was wondering how long it would be before you released the hounds!!
I loved this one right away when I saw it the other night. Great looking spot.
So what did you get? Some tribal work on the shoulder? A white rabbit on the neck? A MOM TAT ON YOUR BICEPS??? Did you get a Susan Tat inside a heart with a 300mm lens through it? Sweet!

Nice pic but not keen on tats, our bodies were not mend to be sheets of canvas,or to be holed for implements, else our good Lord would of made like tea strainers so we could hang things on.Food for thought.

Haha I love tattoo parlours, they are so colourful, but alas I just can’t bring myself to get a tattoo done – If i ever get one I’m getting a big portrait of my favourite actor Kurt Russell’s character from ‘Big Trouble In Little China’ on my lower right leg – he kicks a**! I’m with gonzo – what did you get done? I want to see the pics hehe!

Do you have one? From here or anywhere? I got mine for my 60th birthday:) It hurt, but was worth it. It’s a collared lizard wrapped around my ankle. Come on you guys; If I can do it so can you!
Beautiful tattoo place; makes you just want to see the inside.

Nicely done. You took what was probably a not so interesting shot and used the processing to make it rock. Any chance you’ll be back through Hong Kong any time?
