The Pantheon

SmugMug Video – Long Version

Here is a longer version of that video that I have on the SmugMug Review page. Again, SmugMug didn’t pay me for this… or pay me to post it or anything… if that ever happens, I’ll let you know. :)

Daily Photo – The Pantheon

Scott and I went out almost every night taking photos all over Paris. The Pantheon here was right by our hotel. It was a rainy night when we were arriving home, so I had a feeling it would be a good time for photography! My intuition is not always spot-on, but in this case it worked out pretty well.

You have a great mum Trey, always commenting! I think she’s your biggest fan. I noticed you often shoot from the centre of the road, looks dangerous! “No shot is worth dying” remember your words! :)

Hope you carry a potable bollard with you when your in the middle or there is an island your standing on but what ever this pic does it for me. Like the light flares and car movement.Well captured

Brave move taking a photo in the middle of a Parisienne road – island or no island, the drivers there have little regard for safety. The rain on the lens has sonehow worked nicely on this one – great stuff!

Well said Trey. Thank you for eloquently articulating the essence of why I love to photograph life in creative, unusual ways. To me, photography is so much more than “taking a picture”. It is a creative river of many options and perspectives, opening magical doors of transformation and enlightenment..

Brave shot! Love the color and the ‘artefacts’ for want of a better term to describe the rain drops, and the ‘rays’ make a great contribution to the success of this image.

Great photo, the rain really makes it into a unique shot. I remember running down that street, we had planned to go up the towers of Notre Dame after seeing the inside of the church but they had already cut off the line for the day so we had to put together a Plan B quickly and I misread the closing time time and thought we were barely going to make it before they closed…turned out we had an extra half hour, wife wasn’t very happy with me for making her run. Anyway, enjoyed seeing this photo, Paris is such a beautiful city at night.

You should have cleaned up the sky in this one Trey, I love the glowing of the colors, but there’s just too much “Light DIstractions” going on for me.
