Fishing Hut

Side Roads

This is another example of taking a little side road. It’s hard to do this because the main road usually has such interesting sights. You say to yourself, “Why would I possibly want to get off this amazing road?” And then you force yourself to remember why… but you have to go through this same painful process again and again! :)

Daily Photo – Fishing Hut

Can I post two photos from Iceland in a row? I like to jump around from time to time.. but I guess this is a curveball or something.

One strange little thing about Iceland to me is the grass. It is the spongiest stuff in the world. Every step has your feet sink down and bounce up several more inches than expected. It feels a little like one of those giant blow-up-houses like the moonwalk when I was a kid.

Also, my shoes are always damp here. There seems to be a dew or moisture at the surface all the time, and it just coats everything. It’s not bad… just different.

I never get tired of your Iceland photos – they all show how much you love it there! This one is awesome – love the lighting and clouds – these houses all look so ‘remote’ – am wondering how it would feel to live way out there!

Trey, thanks again. It’s a fantastic shot. Although we’ve never met I feel like I know you from your comments, and you’re video’s. So I hope you’re not in any danger from the fires near Austin.

Thank you for sharing Trey! :)

Speaking of shoes, what kind do you use? I am sure they have to be top quality with all the walking, hiking and traveling you do.

    Have a beautiful day!

P.S. If you ever need a video editor / Motion Graphics artist, I am your guy!

Main roads will take you “by” beautiful areas. Side roads take you “into” them….
Lovely photo. I always digest your dailies with my morning coffee.

Another great photo from Iceland. You can post as many of Iceland in a row as you want, Trey. They are all beautiful. Prayers for the great state of Texas, no rain in a year and horrible fires!!! Have a great Tuesday where ever you are. :-)

Love the light shafts….. I know you had to wait and wait on that aspect of the shot…. Nice.

My Trey inspired shot at the National Air & Space Museum in Washington DC from a few weeks back.
    Thanks Trey.

Lovely photo Trey, do you go to Iceland just to take photos or do you have other plans while you are there?

Hey Trey. Hope your family is doing OK with all the fires so close by your area. I live a few miles further up 620 back towards the 183 direction and I know I was organizing my Go Bag and Go Lists just in case the fires jumped in my direction.
Not even sure if you are in town or walking across the wet spongeland of Iceland, but either way I hope your family is doing well.

The grass is totally amazing on this photo. It looks like waves; really waterish! Also the very smooth sky versus the very detailed grass serves the photo very well.
