Stuck In Big Cities?

This sometimes happens to me too. I get to a big city that has all sorts of interesting stuff, and I don’t take the time for little out-of-town excursions. I should try to do this more… I’m mostly writing this as a personal reminder to myself to do this sort of thing!

I don’t think many people leave Hong Kong to come visit Lamma Island, but it is a nice jaunt. There is a nice hiking path around the island and it ends at this little harbor. There’s lots of food and the reflections around sunset are a treat.

    Brings back memories ,the whole family did the walk across the Island then had dinner, some of the freshest sea food you can ever eat. Then take a free ferry back to Hong kong that is if you eat at one of the restaurants.We made it a days outing.next time you are in Hong Kong Trey, try Lantau island that is where the plane lands, then go see big Buddha then on to Tai O and you will see house on the water like a fishing village. Also Macau is a nice place to get lost in where the streets are narrow and most of the Pprtuguese
    stay.

    Lovely scene! Yes, side excursions are fun, when I was in Paris, I went out into the countryside to see Monet’s house and gardens, a beutiful place!

    I just spent the weekend on Lamma with some friends; definitely a nice escape from the city. Though haven’t been to this part (pictured) yet.
