The Wall of Fog

Server Upgrades Almost Complete

My sincere apologies that this has taken four days so far.  I’ve got the full team working on it… all in an effort to make things faster and better!  Please be patient, and we’ll see how fast we can get this perfect.

Daily Photo – The Wall of Fog

The morning in Yellowstone had the most unusual weather!

While I was driving in, the Earth-heated river was steaming in the frigid morning air.  It looked incredibly awesome, but I knew it was the kind of thing that was really tough to capture in a photo.  After a bit more exploration and random turns, the road approached a giant wall of solid fog.  I popped out of the car for a shot before getting back in to drive into the wall.  Inside, the morning light was strange when it came in at sharp angles through the trees.  Since I had to drive so slow, I pulled over to the side and took out my pack for a morning hike into the trees…  I have more of those shots to post in the future!

Welcome to the third-world country communications system. Regarding Pebble Beach. Great. Also … repeat … Father’s day LA Roadsters hot rod show at the Pomona Fairgrounds (LA Fairgrounds) and the Grand National show in the winter. Don’t forget … this Sat./Sun. is the Chino Air Show (Ca.) $75 will get you a dawn photographer’s pass and all-day ticket either day. planesoffame.org. But hurry up. The tickets won’t last. Only 50 each day.

Wall of Fog. Sounds like every morning for me.
Not sure what Daryl is talking about, but I dig the pic just the same.

I like the simplicity of the photo – a zen photo

Wonderful image again Trey, really superb, and good to see everything back up online.

Trey, just a small question if you can get back to me on this, you gave me a site name last year which allows you to track your images on the net, i’ve lost it, can you give me the name, i’d really appreciate it, maybe you could put a link up on your site somewhere??
    Many thanks

    Mike

    Hi Thelonious,

Many thanks for getting back, but it’s not this, although i will keep this for when my site is up and running.
What trey was talking about , last year sometime, was a site where you can see if others are using your images on another site or are published elsewhere, even if your images have been manipulated, i used it quite a few times.
Trey’s gonna see this and get back, but thanks all the same, and thanks for taking the time to respond.
    Much appreciated

    Mike

Every time I see ‘Wall of Fog’ I read ‘Wall of Frog’. This time was no different, so this time I went Whoa Cool!! Not knowing what I expected to see, I was kinda bit disapointed.
Regardless of my weirdness, it is a cool picture.
    beautiful shot!

Finally back! Sweet pic by the way. The colors in the fog are awesome – that red and blue adds to the dreaminess.

My life hasn’t been the same since maintenance started on the site. I have been suffering from an extreme case of stuckincustoms-withdrawal. Never do that again.

I love the idea of stopping and grabbing a shot; the spur of the moment. Sure it may not be as “clean” as a planned location but it so dynamic and full of life! Keep on clicking… :-)
