Parking in Tokyo

Tokyo HDR Workshop and upcoming HDR DVD

Thanks again to my new friends from the HDR Workshop here in Tokyo over the weekend.  I had a great time and enjoyed getting to know everyone!

I hope you all are enjoying your new secret access to the special part of the site!  Hmmm what could that be?

All of the inside scoop that I shared with them will be available on the upcoming HDR DVD.  Be sure to pop over to that link and sign up so you can get the latest info.  I’ll be sure to include special bonus info on this secret part of the website as well…

Daily Photo – Parking in Tokyo

During the workshop, Alfie found a cool spot for us all to visit. They had a bunch of beautiful cars parked under a bridge, and these were prime suspects for a bit of HDR treatment!

Look at the license plate on that car! Cool – Number 7. I wonder how you get car number 7 in all of Tokyo. There was some discussion that these beautiful low-number cars were often mafia vehicles. I don’t know if I believe that, but it certainly sounds cool!

Great job Trey! I have found cars to be really fun HDR. Here are some from a car show I attended in Canyon, Texas July 4.

What I especially liked about this photo is that it doesn’t “shout” HDR, it is more like viewing
something in a new light (which I guess, it is)

Great photo Trey, but did you get a release from the Yakuza?

Wow what an awesome shot Trey! Beautiful reflection and colors. The tripod reflection was the first thing I noticed but it’s kinda cool. Have a great weekend!

Jamie – I did not – I should have though, maybe!

Stephen – it might be – I was with some other photogs – so it could be them too!

Hi Trey, It was great meeting you and taking the workshop this past weekend. Hope the rest of the week in Japan was great for you and you got some nice images! It was a treat getting to not only shoot with you but also actually see this particular image be created on the spot!

As for the…uh…secret area on the site, I registered but I haven’t gotten approved yet… Very sad :( I used the “resend activation email” so I hope I can get in soon!

    Thanks again!

Great Shot! Love the reflections. If what I learned about low number plates in Hong Kong is in play here as well, these get auctioned off for millions of dollars as they are considered good luck. Here’s a related article about the plates in Abu Dhabi:

    Explains gas prices lately;-)
