Entering Another World

Sometimes don’t you just want to leave this world behind and go some place else for a bit (or forever)?

I was invited to go for a private walk of the shark reef aquarium at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I went in with average expectations and came away very impressed! There are many cool areas, including a dreamy jellyfish tank and another nearby section where you are in a sunken ship. I’ll post that one as soon as I get around to processing it… my brain has been overloaded as of late…

Hey Trey….when you were in Vegas (maybe you are still there), did you see Peter Lik’s Gallery in the Mall attached to the Mandalay? He has three galleries in Vegas, and is making a fortune selling his prints at maybe 14 grand ++ each….amazing. Check them out if you get the chance….Cheers, Scotty

Wow, Trey, looks like a lovely place to spend a lot of time. We hope to go to Vegas in September for my hubby’s Air Force Reunion. They all served together or at different times at a base in Laone, France. It’s a fun time and so I hope we can visit this place while we are there!!!!! They usually schedule some fun side trips. Anyway, thanks for making me aware of the acquarium!!! Great picture!! Thanks for sharing.

Hey, Jen, what part of Montana did you grow up in? We retired in the Bitterroot Valley and love it here!!!

What amazes me is how often you are allowed to take pictures with no people in them. Although I have enjoyed the sensation of others getting and staying out of my way, mostly, I am ignored and they’ll walk right in front of me.

Yes, I did see that you said “private walk,” but often you are in populated areas and still, somehow, you get them without interference.
