A Votive in the Dark Cathedral

I love a scary cathedral. They can put you in such a melancholy and gloomy mood if you want them too. You can feel the overbearing saints from above judging your moves, and giving you a few bonus points in the big game if you light one of the votives. In a scientific study, it was proven than a votive makes a prayer 35% more likely to be granted.

The second photo below is of a vampire in a different cathedral in southern Italy.

Fantastic shots. So rare to see natural candlelight and clarity in the same photo. What was the time exposure? Isnt the vamp the blurr in the top photo? I thought they moved quickly. ;-)

Haha thanks… yes – they are the fast-moving vamps like in True Blood

hi trey! recently came across this website and i must say its fantastic! you have truly sucked me into the world of HDR, and to think i knew nothing about it before visiting this site. anyways it was these shots that really inspired me, and after reading your tutorial i thought i’d try it out. so i took some shots in winchester cathedral for my project at uni. just wondered if you could check them out and possibly give me any feedback :) keep up the great work sir, you have a talent x
