The High Divine Range Church Shots for Richard Dawkins

Hey I like Richard Dawkins… especially his concept of a human is more like a moving sand dune than a hot bag of water that doesn’t change… and I also know he doesn’t like me going in churches… It’s okay, I promise I am only going in to take pictures, so it’s cool, right? Here are a few of my favorites… from all around the world. There are a few from Ukraine, Italy, and Iceland below.

Inside the Dome

The Wrath of the Norse Gods

Alone in the Church

Fortress Cathedral

The Forboding Church of Valpopando's Marriage

  • After the initial visual feast of clarity, color, shape, and beautiful composition is a vision of Trey sneaking arround all these cathedrals and churches with a tripod….very sneaky. Nice work! ๐Ÿ™‚

now I like/respect you even more than I did before. not only is it nice to know you are a fellow dawkins fan, it’s also great that you are willing to say so publicly despite the ever-constant pressure we all have to keep such things to ourselves.

Great stuff, as usual! Where is the church/temple in picture no. 2 ? It’s so unusual, like it’s out of this world.

I did some pictures to a rural church in Romania – you can check it out here http://www.webmyc.com/blog/2008/03/24/countryside-hdr/

Unfortunately, the church was closed and could not get in, but i took some shots from the bell tower.

Amazing representations of some amazing churches. I’m a big fan of churches often when itside its as though time has stood still for hundreds of years, except for the odd speaker and heaters.

The thing is – that regardless of your views of religion, churches are some of the most beautiful architecture around. And your pictures celebrate that – consider them a tribute to the beauty of the human mind that created them ๐Ÿ™‚

And, please, keep taking them! Your work is incredible!

  • Warm greetings of peace,

Your photos are extraordinary! And living across the street from a beautiful church, I can say that that it enhances the view immensely.

    Warmly,
    Baraka

  • You can think whatever you like about the Christian faith but there are few places that are so well shaped for a good HDR-photo! And you got some of the best ๐Ÿ˜›
