This overgrown enclosure was found deep in the jungles of Cambodia, which is about 99% of Cambodia.
Rock on, nice shot! Like the processing also.
“the jungles of Cambodia, which is about 99% of Cambodia”
Unfortunately, this stopped being the case about 30 years ago with the onset of the Khmer Rouge and subsequent governments, which have been too quick to exploit Cambodia’s natural resources for short term profit. The road from Siem Reap to the Thai border is an alarming look at what happens when large swaths of land are deforested and left to turn to deserts. What has happened to Cambodia’s once vast jungles is one of the great environmental tragedies of the late 20th century.
Great picture, though. Angkor Wat is a wonderful place, and it’s quite lucky that the land around it has been preserved as well as it has.
