Streaming Light at the Fortified Gatehouse
This gatehouse sits on one side of the moat of Angkor Wat. We were not supposed to be inside the gate this late but my monk friend has some pull with the locals.

Amazing pictures–I’d love to get to that part of the world someday..Asia really interests me. Any advice for an amateur photographer that does a lot of traveling? I want to take some above-average photos.

sort of amazed to come across your site and overwhelmed by the pictures of cambodia. My husband spent a month in cambodia this summer. It was one of the best experiences we’d had traveling. The picture of those two beautiful girls reminds me of the incredibly humble, sweet and forgiving people of that country; they also remind me of two precocious twins that we met our first evening in siem reap. They were at the first temple ‘bante gda’ when were you watch the sunset. I wish I could have bottled that trip and brought it home.

The pictures also remind me of two precocious young twins that we met our first evening in siem reap—they were at the first temple ‘bante gda’, where the tuk-tuks take you to watch the sunset. They tried to sell us everything from cokes to t-shirts; we were most impressed that the could count to 10 in over a dozen languages.
