Amazing Time with the New Class!

You missed the class! But less than 24 hours to get it!

Note: You have less than 24 hours to sign up on The Art of Photography page. The first class is available for download for everyone that registered. You don’t have to watch Live, even though that bit is quite exciting.

THANKS so much to everyone that joined me last night. It was an amazing experience… it’s the biggest online training of this sort of thing in the world, and it was just crazy-fun… I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did! We have a lot more stuff coming in the next three classes… I’ll be showing you all some Awesome Stuff and Cool Tricks! 🙂

Daily Photo – The End of the Path

This is the very end of the long path from Toad Hall to the beach on Virgin Gorda. One thing this photo does not show is that there is about a 4-foot dropoff right below this path! It’s no problem for a grownup to navigate, but it was a little logistical challenge to get three kids down there.

I took this path almost every day… for a little trip down to the beach to see what I could find…

This picture made me dreaming about the upcoming family vacation- the beach, the orange sunsets, the chil night air and the sound of the splashing waves- I am already there, sitting on the end of the cliff, saying goodbye to the lovely day and welcoming the peaceful evening.

Personally I find the “rocks in the foreground, sunset in the background” HDR shots to be getting a bit clichéd. There’s loads of them on HDRspotting for instance . I realize that sunsets and sunrises are beautiful and fun to photograph, but they tend to produce rather same-y shots after a while. I’m trying to force myself to avoid them as much as possible right now. Just my 2 cents.

  • I love this photo, Trey!! It’s going on my desktop right now!!! Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful Wednesday!!

  • really awesome portfolio quality shot, here man. the composition is absolute crack for my eyes.

How do I download the video for the class? I can view the video via Youtube, but I can’t download an actual mp4 (or other video formats) of the video. The email sent to me after registration provides the links to the two PDF books, but no links to video files.

Beautiful and great coloring. I find the rocks and boardwalk add interest to a sunset/sunrise photo. Makes me want to walk down the path and climb over those rocks to sit a spell on one 🙂

  • This is a live webinar so you need to watch it as it happens online. However, we will send a copy of the tutorial and Q&A early next week.

  • Trey Ratcliff

    Thanks! 🙂
