Free Photowalk in New Zealand

See you in Auckland and Christchurch!

I have the details up on the “I’m Coming to New Zealand” page.  I hope to meet you all there… we will have a good time.  I’ll encourage everyone to share online after the event and comment on one another’s photos!

What’s in My Bag?

I recently did a little thing with Cali Lewis for Geekbrief TV.  I showed her everything that was in my photo bag when I travel for her show.  I am always surprised that people are interested in what’s in the bag!  Anyway, when it becomes avail, I will be sure to link to it… so if you are curious, you can see the insides! 🙂

New Photos – Nikon 85mm Review

I took some more photos with the 85mm lens.  These are all of my kids… and really a good subject-matter since I think this lens is great for people shots!  To see more, and details, visit my Nikon 85mm Review!

Running right at me full speed!  ISO 200, 85mm,  f/1.7, 1/3000 sec

Scarlett in the snow… ISO 360, 85mm,  f/3.3, 1/90 sec

She’s not a happy princess.  But she was shot at 1600 ISO, 85mm, f/1.4, 1/320 sec.

  • Great candid shots!

Nice shots Trey! … I am surprised you are not visiting Canada during the Olympics 🙂 — wondering what it could like through your camera!

Great shots and beautiful family! Trey, you are blessed and with your gifts, your family is so blessed to have you create treasures for them forever! What a joy that will be for you too! Thank you for sharing these lovelies with us!

  • Trey – Love your 85mm shots – it’s the best lens!

  • Richard

Love the princess shot. The best part is the other little one peeking through the apparatus in the background.. LOL.

  • Love the pics – and love getting new camera toys!

  • Biancag

These are great! I can’t believe how big Scarlet is now! Great princess shot, tell her that her Princess cousin is just as dramatic, must be the Ratcliff genes :-).

  • Todd

Trey, thanks for posting the ISO speed, f-stop, etc with these photos. It sure helps those of us who are working to get better at photography. Would you be able to do this same thing with your HDR photos as far as what ISO was used and what f-stop? Thanks. I love all your work and it was you who inspired me to do HDR. Now, one of my photos of a building here in Salt Lake City is hanging in the mayor’s office.
