  • hardik kheskani

is this a good package for a beginner photographer to buy? main things am looking for are – how to photograph landscapes and how to post process them to improve lighting or color of images. I have started shooting in RAW but haven’t had the chance to learn the magic of post processing yet. Thanks!

  • Harvey Abernathey

  • Nader El Assy

Trey, I’m again facing a problem buying a tutorial from you. Paypal doesn’t include Egypt among countries that can register in it. I had a bypass way before when I bought the HDR tutorial as I got a freind purchased it for me from a different country. But this case is not valid now. Can you please see some other way enables me to pay for this tutorial? Thanks.

  • Trey Ratcliff

Sorry – yes Paypal blocks a few countries – it sucks! Let me talk to support on your behalf. Maybe they can meet you in Cairo with a briefcase full of cash like a spy! 🙂

  • Trey Ratcliff

    yay ! Thanks 🙂

  • Trey Ratcliff

Cool – happy to hear it 🙂

  • Trey – I’ve followed you online for years. (Not stalkerishly. Well, not really). It’s just friggin’ cool that you seem to be ever MORE willing to share your passion, expertise – and even your RAW files – as your star has risen. Always an inspiration. Thank you!

  • Rodney Quarcoo

Hi Trey, Paypal does not allow payments from Ghana! Boohoo! What other options do I have to pay StuckInCustoms? Cheers!!

  • Trey Ratcliff

Dang! Egypt and Ghana are trouble to PayPal ! Let me tell the team about this 🙁

  • Trey Ratcliff

Hey thanks Wayne! You can stalker-around all you want – nice to meet you 🙂

  • Rohan Aurora

I am a mountaineer specifically interested in alpine photography. Will this course be useful to me?

  • gfw5643

Trey, I am a struggling 70 year old on a fixed income. I am trying to read and learn nature and wildlife photography from your newsletters and I have just gotten a free copy of CS2 so I can learn post processing. I would dearly love a chance to obtain one of the ten free tutorials. If you could please add my name into the drawing that would be a blessing to me. Keep up your efforts please, you are a great asset to those who can afford your courses.

  • Will S

Hey Trey, Ive been following you for a few years now and every time you post a photo it just brightens my day. As an 18 year old aspiring photographer who will be studying photography in college next year, I have always been super interested in how to create the magic in my own photos that you do in yours! This tutorial is just what i needed and i just wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge so openly with us as well as your amazing photos! Much love man

  • I would love to get one of the free courses. I’m currently finishing my internship and looking forward to being a high school teacher but I find I have little time right now for anything other than school and teaching. Since this can be accessed at any time it would be perfect as a pre-graduation gift.

  • Andrea Boyle

I have two of your tutorials, several presets and textures, and looking forward to another reason to come to New Zealand! I can’t wait to see what you have to offer in this new tutorial. I have learned so much post processing from all the ones I’ve purchased from Stuck in Customs, as well as the live webinars I have taken. You are a great instructor to learn from, not only from your knowledge but from your patience. Your tutorials have a Zen quality that I can’t explain. When I watch them, I find myself totally focused and in a very restful state. (If only my training at work could be that way…!) I know I will be able to utilize what I learn from this tutorial on future shares on Google+. Thanks in advance for your efforts! I’m off to the shopping cart, now…

  • WOW!! This is awesome! Like Wayne down there v, I too have been following you for year and am in awe of some of the images you bring to life on my monitor!

  • Danny Levin

Trey – I’ve been waiting anxiously for this New Zealand video tutorial to come out. I enjoyed and learned so much from your HDR video tutorials. I even won an Alaskan cruise for a photo I took using all the information I learned from you and your HDR tutorials. So thanks for that as well. So looking forward to this one when it is released next week. And hopefully I’ll meet you one day on one of your workshops in some awesome place.

  • philrodo

Trey, is this a Photoshop/Lightroom centric tutorial? I mean will those of us who prefer to stay away from Adobe products be able to follow the training? I use a MacBook Pro with Retina and prefer using Aperture and Pixelmator. Will I be able to follow the training?

  • Hi there,

While Trey does use Adobe products throughout post, as long as you can work with layers you should be fine. There might be a little bit of translation, but it shouldn’t be too bad. Also, a lot of the tutorial focuses on shooting.

In any case, if you pick it up and it’s not working out for you, a refund is not a problem at all.

  • Hi, I just came across your work and landscape tutorial video from NZ. Looks great! I am very interested in improving my processing skills in particular HDR processing, but I was wondering if you could tell me what programs/versions are needed for your tutorial tasks? I have an older version of PS, and I know it limits me in some respects. Thanks in advance. Cheers

  • Greg Lundeen

Trey, I loved your HDR tutorial. I am interested in the New Zealand tutorial. What software does one need to own to make buying this tutorial worthwhile? (i.e., Photoshop, Lightroom, Photomatix, etc.)

  • Joseph Ip

Hello Trey – Ordered your tutorial already … could not make it to the NZ workshop so I look forward to watching the video tutorial.

  • Sandy Young

Just bought it and I’m really excited to download on the 5th!!!!! Thanks, Trey! I really admire your work!

  • matthew jensen

Trey, you are a class act. I’m so anxious to receive the download April 5. You have a tremendous skill and ability. Thanks for sharing this wealth of wisdom with the world.

  • paul

I was wondering what programs you use in this tutorial?

  • Hi Paul,

Pretty much all of the tutorials use Photomatix, Lightroom, and Photoshop.

  • Hi Greg,

I answered your question that you sent to support, but for the benefit of others – Trey’s tutorials generally all use Photomatix, Lightroom, and Photoshop, but these aren’t necessarily required if you’re willing to do some work in translation. (Especially Photoshop these days, as it seems to be less and less of the workflow as times goes on.)

The basic requirements are the ability to process HDR (Photomatix), edit and process the resulting image (Lightroom) and some capability with layers to blend different exposures together (Photoshop.)

  • Hi Tanya,

You should be pretty much fine with any version. CS older than 4 can’t load the NEF RAW files (although Trey’s workflow does not do this anyway – they’re put in Photomatix first and output as JPGs).

  • paul

    Cool thanks lightroom 3 ok

  • Thank you Trey for helping Amateur photographers like me learn post production techniques and improve our pictures!

  • Colleen Gutschenritter

I have loved all your tutorials so far! I’m hoping this one will enlighten me on putting a New Zealand twist on the boring landscapes of North Texas… good luck there.

  • Burt Emmer

Trey, I don’t use Lightroom but do use Photomatix and Photoshop CS5. Will it be difficult for me since I don’t use or know Lightroom?

  • Chetan Krishnamurthy

I already have your HDR and Art of Photography course and Iam able to grasp some of the concepts from that, so will this tutorial be an add-on to it and will it be helpful, Also I have the club access, hence will I be able to get any more discounts

  • Hi Chetan,

Each tutorial has its own special approach and topic, so you should get plenty out of this one as well. If you find that to not be the case, a refund is not a problem.

There isn’t any ongoing discount for Clubhouse members – it’s just set up to be a good community to get feedback and post questions, etc.

  • Hi Burt,

You should be able to translate a lot of what’s done into Photoshop. If you find there’s just too much you can’t fill in, we can get you a refund without a problem.

  • Chetan Krishnamurthy

    Hi Luke,

    Thanks for the response

  • paul

does this include access to the private Clubhouse forums?

  • Ashish Malik

Trey- just bought it. Thanks Trey for giving us an opportunity to learn the techniques which have been mastered by you.. Thanks for nurturing amateur photographers like us under your professional skills … 🙂

  • My birthday’s on April 10th… Maybe I’ll have to get this for myself…

  • Hi Paul,

Yes, this includes access to the Clubhouse community.

  • Oh heck I’m just gonna buy it now. 9 days is too loooonnnngggg

  • Jeff Giles

I already have the 11 hour tutorial. What new things are in this tutorial?

  • Trey Ratcliff

Yeah – I think you’ll see all new stuff in here for sure Jeff. The new methods of the HDR creation and post-processing have evolved A LOT. Besides, if you aren’t MEGA HAPPY at the end, you can have all your money back! 🙂

  • Joe Slaven

Does this course focus mainly on HDR, or scenery and panoramic shots ?

  • Joe Slaven

Waht post production software do you recommend for use with this course? Photoshop or Lightroom?

  • Marcus Germain

Trey, any plans to post any pictures from Doubtful Sound? The view into the sound (fjord) from atop Wilmot Pass is incredible. Love your photos, especially New Zealand photos! Cheers!

  • treyratcliff

Can you believe I’ve never been there? It’s true!!!

  • treyratcliff

I recommend both! Both are not required, of course… but I use them.

  • treyratcliff

It focuses on Landscape photography with all sorts of Post-processing. HDR comes to inform many of the final works, but not all of them. There is nothing about “panoramic shots” however.

  • I have paid for the New Zealand video tutorials……when will they be available for download, and where?

  • Hi Bob,

The files will be available on April 5th.

  • Sabrina Somalo Bonini

Hi Tray, I can’t remember how but I found you on Google+ at some point last year and was so amazed by your pictures that the first thing I do every day when I open it is look for your new posts. Your photographic style is exactly what I like and what I aim for with my pictures, so I think I’m going to buy myself a birthday present for tomorrow 🙂
Thanks for sharing your passion and knowledge with the world!

  • Trey Ratcliff

Yay! Thanks Sabrina – I think you will love it!! 🙂

  • Robert Carpenter

Purchased the videos, but can’t figure out where to download them … went onto SICC google+ and can’t find them. Would appreciate your help.

  • Alfredo Mora

Trey, it was a privilege meeting you in Austin earlier this year. I just purchased this new tutorial series and am looking forward to learning new techniques to apply to my photography. Perfect timing too as today is the release day! I learned so much from your original HDR series and this new series looks even better. Cheers and thank you!

  • Robert,

We did have a support interaction through email where I got you taken care of, but for the benefit of others – if you preordered the tutorial prior to yesterday, an email was sent yesterday afternoon with instructions on how to get the files. If you have not received that email, please contact me at [email protected] as further action is required on your part.

If you’re just purchasing now, the files will already be in there.

  • Eqbal Beheshti

I just bought it, I’ll download it soon and also I’ve been approved for “Clubhouse Community (google+)” but what about the private forum in this address:
Is it still active? and if yes how can I join it?

  • Hi there,

That forum has closed and moved to the G+ community.

  • Phil Kramer

Which software applications for post-processing is your tutorial based on?

  • Phil Kramer

Nevermind, I just saw a post that listed the apps.

  • J Smilanic

Such a fair price! I wish I could right now. I would love some insight into your processing techniques.

  • Thanks for that Luke. After watching Trey’s video above I have since downloaded lightroom as my prehistoric photoshop 7.0 wont open the NEF files as you have said. I do have access to CS4 though.
I already had photomatix pro but I found lightroom almost as good with image enhancement. Although you do have to be careful to keep checking your work as to not ‘over process’ (Im sure you know what I mean.)
Thanks again, I think I will work a little more on my abilities with lightroom and photomatix before taking the course.
Out of curiosity can I ask what % of Trey’s photos are HDR? and what ones are just lightroom/pshop?

  • I bought your package but where do I see your Live Q&A Session on April 9th with Trey? Is it somewhere on this website….this is my first visit here.

  • Jeffrey,

The link is included in a document in your downloads – don’t just click it – you have to paste the location in your browser window. For some reason it’s not going to the right place if you click it.

Email me at [email protected] if you need help.

  • Marvin Lee

Can you help me? I paid for this tutorial some weeks ago, but never received the links, info, etc necessary. [email protected]

  • I ordered the tutorial but never got the links. Can you please let me know.
    Jeanne Talbot

  • Hi Jeanne,

The links sometimes get blocked as spam, particularly with Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, etc. However, you can always access your links by logging into your account at and hitting “My Downloads” from your account page.

Let me know at [email protected] if you need help.

  • Henk Wolthuizen

Hi Trey I recently upgraded to a nikon d800 and was keen to learn how to use the bracketing feature, whilst browsing youtube I came across your tutorial on HDR photography. Thank you very very much for taking me to a world that I have only ever imagined, that world now comes through in my photographs and I can’t wait to get out there to capture it. thank you again so very much regards Henk Wolthuizen

  • Hi Trey, I want to know if you are going to offer this class on USB or DVD? Thanks.

  • Hi Alexandra,

There are no plans to do that for this course at this time.

  • Poul B.

Does you provide full money back guarantee if i’m not happy w/ this course? And what should i do for that?

  • Always – just get in touch with me at [email protected].

  • Malcolm Martyn

Hi Trey, I only have photoshop elements for mac, will your course be useful to me or should I look for one specifically designed with elements in mind. I currently shoot on a nikon d7000 and gopro hero 3 zenmuse phantom. i would love to create images as good as yours… here are a few examples of my current standard regards Malcolm

  • Elements is just fine – 95% of the things in the tutorial you can do with Elements! 🙂 @malcolmmartyn:disqus 🙂

  • Clark Swofford

Can I ask if this tutorial is up to date? I don’t see a date stamp on it, and I know that the software and methods that Trey uses change pretty fluidly as technology does. I want to buy this, I just don’t want to watch Trey’s methodology from 3 or 4 years ago. I loved the 10 hour HDR tutorial class. I’ve been through it a couple of times now and it’s transformed my pictures and made me so happy!

  • Yes — everything is quite current @clarkswofford:disqus – I think Photoshop has had a few revs, but nothing significant @Clark Swoffard

  • Ron Harper

So if i was to buy this work shop does it come with images or just videos?

I am in Australia so i got nothing from NZ
