Bald Baby

Here is a Hindu father and daughter, whose head has been shaved to prepare for an important ritual. I don’t know what that ritual is, exactly, but it appeared to involve a lot of sweating and crying.

Islamic Peace

Here is another shot of those cute schoolchildren I found outside of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur:

Islamic Rainbow

After I ate lunch underneath the Petronas Towers, I walked outside to find all these Muslim school children lining up for a photo, so I grabbed one of my own. A picture, not a Muslim girl, that is.

Back in Kuala Lumpur

I am back in Kuala Lumpur this week. Here is a family that is on a pilgrimage to a famous Hindu shrine in Malaysia.

Monkey Business

Here is another one of those pesky Macaque monkeys that almost chewed through my neck.

Elephants and Gods

These are some gods that adorn a small Hindu shrine at the base of the Batu Caves in Malaysia.

Three Towers of Kuala Lumpur

Here is an HDR shot of the Patronas Towers. If you zoom in, you can see Zeta-Jones with her curious Spanish-Name-British-Accent about to catch Sean Connery with his Scottish-Name-Scottish-Accent.

The Arabic Cafe

Here is a wonderful little Arabic restaurant I found in Kuala Lumpur.

Lord Murugan’s Domain

Lord Murugan, who has a name not dissimilar to wizards of ill-repute in Harry potter, stands golden and lustrious at 42.7 meters (140 feet) tall in front of the Bantu Caves, an international hotspot for a Hindu pilgramage.

At the top of those steps is a large cave network, the Dark Cave weaving more than 2 KM through the limestone mountain.
