On Netflix, there is a new show called “Have a Good Trip on Psychadelics” that is absolutely hilarious. There are funny stories from Anthony Bourdain, Carrie Fisher, and a ton of others.

It’s hard to believe how huge Mount Fuji is until you see it in person. It’s so big you can even see it from Tokyo! There is a hike that you can take to the top to see the sunrise. I thought about doing that, but I also heard that the way down is quite slippery and dangerous. Sometimes going uphill on a hike is even easier than downhill.

Remember that if you want to see more photos of a particular location, you can always go over to my Portfolio on SmugMug and do a search at the top. For example here is a search for Japan. It returns the photos with some sort of rank that coincides with “most popular,” although I am not sure how that algorithm works!

How amazing is this volcano! It’s right out of a storybook. On my most recent trip, I tried out the bus system to get me out here to explore the area, I finally mastered the subway system (which took many failed attempts), but I was always a bit afraid of the bus system. Now, I haven’t quite mastered that yet, but I’m on the right path!

One of my favorite new Spotify Playlists is Feelin’ Burny Afterny. It’s a very stupid name, I agree. But I put together the playlist to remind me of the kind of music I like to listen to at Burning Man in the middle of the afternoon.

When I travel to a new area, I usually like to jump on Google Maps and try to find interesting perspectives. I looked at the map and saw that over on the other side of the lake was this place called The Musical Forest. I thought it sounded absurdly Japanese, so I knew it was a place I had to go to! I was a bit worried it might just be for children or something… but I was wrong. It looked like this!
