Tane Going Home in Kyoto

Funny Announcement Video from Taiki Waititi

I don’t know if you’ve seen Thor: Ragnorak, but you should! I was kind of getting tired of super hero movies, but this one was so funny. I think mostly because of the director! He’s a New Zealand guy… check out his intro to the new DVD below.

Daily Photo – Tane Going Home in Kyoto

This shows one of my favorite tiny cultural things in Japan. It's not just the polite bowing, but it's the over-the-top polite bowing even as you are walking away! I always feel strange not spinning around and acknowledging the nice bow, but then I'm afraid they would just bow again when I walked away. It would be an infinite loop, and I'd not make it too far.

If you’ve never seen it, you should go watch “What We Do in the Shadows”. It’s brilliant and perfectly shows off Waititi’s humour.

Trey the commentary is just more of that humor. I remember thinking that if this is what it is like in New Zealand than I need to visit. He is a funny guy, and that really showed in the movie.
