Super Bird!

This Week in Photo!

I sat down with Fred Van Johnson from This Week in Photo to talk about the new Aurora HDR software I co-designed with MacPhun. Watch and enjoy to get more inside scoop!

Walk-Around Camera

Be sure to go check out the always-updated Camera Recommendations Page here on the site. You’ll see one of the cameras I recommend is the Sony RX100, which took this photo below! Note, once again, that Sony is not a sponsor and they don’t pay me or anything! πŸ™‚ I just love their cameras…

Daily Photo – Super Bird!

Here's a quick shot I got in Venice one day with the RX100. I use that camera a lot for quick “street photos” β€” it's so darn fast and easy to use that I can get super-sharp and quick photos. I think it takes like 16 pictures in a second or something so you can be sure to have a lot to choose from. I guess it kind of feels like cheating to take so many photos… but I think the use of any kind of artifice in a creative process is noble! πŸ™‚

I don’t mean to be a pixel peeper but the EXIF say’s A7R, not RX100. Awesome image nonetheless. I could use a camera like the RX100.

Pixel Peeper lmao. I’ve never heard that before.

Really cool shot Trey! I think it’s hilarious you mentioned you’re not paid by Sony. I found out about Sony through you and I talk about them all the time. I love my A6000. It’s so versatile and small and all around awesome. I’ve convinced a few local people to switch too. We’re a small band of misfits, but we all love our Sony cameras. I giggle when I meet people for the first time and they have their Nikons and hand Canons and glance at my camera with a look of uncertainty and concern haha
