If you have a Mac, here’s a good app suggestion – Noizio. It sits up in your task bar and you can have it play up to 10 different background sounds and you can mix them together at will. There are many to choose, from Thunderstorm to Campfire to Paris Cafe.

Well, I didn’t climb all the way to the top… seemed a bit scary! So I went up just a little bit to get this shot. Everything was certainly very slippery in Antarctica, so I didn’t take too many risks. This shot was taken about 3 AM, when the light was the best. I actually wish the sun got lower, but this was about as low as it got! Next time, if I am lucky enough to go again, I think I’ll go a month or so earlier so that the sun is not quite so high around this time of night.
