The Lonely Chair

Reminder on The Stuck in Customs Community on Google+

Last week I mentioned the Private Clubhouse that people can access when they purchase one of the tutorial products. But, also, there is a public Stuck In Customs community where you are welcome to join, share your photos, and see a bunch of other work from fellow community members! It is a fun way to get to know more people from around here!

Daily Photo – The Lonely Chair

This is a nice little object here, yes? I think it’s hard to find things that stand by themselves in the middle of an area that is normally cluttered.

The chair was found in one of the many decrepit and ghostly rooms inside that chateau I mentioned a few days ago. I tried to squeeze my way into every possible room, but some were too full of junk to get around. This one was well lit and ideal!

Nice shot, but I would have done this one differently. Would have gone inside and taken the chair at a lower angle, as the chair and wall seem to match it would blend in nicely. I know its always easy to see pictures afterwards but still like it as it is.

Super shot – that chair has seen better days – but it’s still a beautiful chair….now with a little re covering it would be perfect! 🙂

  • I have a lovely book on urban exploration around somewhere and this would look right at home on the pages of that book – there’s something really wonderful about the decay of items/places over time and it makes for wonderful images – great capture! Makes me want to dig out what’s left of my camera gear and come out of photography retirement….

  • Trey: No wonder that it is a “lonely” chair 🙂 Kudos for conveying that emotion through your photo Russ

  • Stephen Clarke

Photography retirement? When did that happen?

  • Now you are infected with the Urban Exploring disease 🙂 Don’t fight it…. Welcome to my world !
