If you go to the Genie SYRP Shop you have a choice. You can either get a $110 ballhead for free or save $70 off the purchase of a Genie with that coupon code! Once you get to final checkout, if the ballhead is in your cart, that will be free when you enter the code.

Here are the codew:

STUCKINCUSTOMS70 – $70 off the Genie

Here is a new video made by the creators of the Genie.

Daily Photo – The Milky Way over the Burning Bush

I took this photo in Death Valley one evening. The bush is red and mysterious because of a bit or light-painting with my headlamp. My neck got a bit tired from multiple tries. That glow around it? I don’t really know… maybe a bit of the dust from the desert caught the red light. Either way, I like how everything looks all funky and zen.

    Beautiful photograph! Looks almost outworldly!

  • That’s – pretty ridiculous Trey. But I don’t have to tell you that. I’m talking to Moses about the Burning Bush.
    (*Oh!* Snap! That just happened!)

  • BTW – That SYRP Genie time lapse box looks so darn cool. That’s on my gotta_have_it list at the top now.

    Hi Trey,
    Beautiful night sky photograph.
I’m curious as to the length of the exposure in order to catch all those stars…. but it can not have been a particularly long exposure or you would have star trails. Can you share some details on this photo please?

  • is that the Pleiades in the lower right?

  • I just got mine in the mail. It only took 24 hours despite being shipped from Hong Kong. The quality is super high. i mean this is no toy. The construction is solid and setting up the time lapse feature literally took me 30 seconds with this device which is much easier than even the camera. This is way, way simpler than using the motors on the expensive dollys. I will be writing up a full review on it but so far I am super impressed with it
