Daily Photo – Brushing a Miniature Horse

We took another trip out to Kerry & Simon Brackstone’s farm in Gibbston with the kids. My two girls, Isabella and Scarlett, love that miniature horse! They spent a very long time brushing it… apparently this is something that all little girls enjoy doing. We always hold this out as a carrot for them if they are being good, and they they can hold out a carrot for the miniature horse, and it will be a neverending circle of carrot-based incentives.

Boy, that horse looks really hard done by. 😉

  • How nice that you got to visit the Brackstone’s farm. I know your girls enjoying being with the miniature horse, I would!! Also, great photo, too. Thanks so much for sharing the cute photo with all of us, great job!!!!

    heeh thanks 🙂

What a nice picture! But by the way, it’s not a “miniature horse”, it’s a so called Shetland Pony ;o))

  • let’s see… carrot for the girls + carrot for the pony = 24 caret camera + experience for dad

Aww, Trey, buy them one! I never got one at their age and now look at me…! I’m damaged, I’m sure! I’d be a much better photographer today if I’d only had a pony…

  • This is a lovely photograph, from the toning to the way the girls and the pony are so involved in what they are doing. Very nice.

  • Excellent, excellent photo.

  • Thanks all! Yes, Snowcracker has a hard life indeed… Being force fed fresh grass, carrots, bread… Having his mane platted into flowery ponytails… Its tough on the farm.

In all seriousness, he loves the attention! All our animals out here have it pretty good, especially when visitors spoil them 😉

  • Good to know!

  • Great post
    thanks for sharing 🙂
