Daily Photo – Afternoon at the Chateau

Here is one of the many images created during the workshop. I decided I liked this slightly off-center version rather than right down the middle. I loved the one right down the middle too, of course, but just was giving the situation a bit of a curve-ball. The tree branches seemed so interesting to me, and I wanted to accentuate them in post processing so they felt like one hundred little arrows, all pointing at the chateau.

Leaves and sky! Today’s the day to post my comment. Great image- I love the light in the leaves, but this is where my problem is. I was selfishly heartened to see on the 100% size original image that even you too have the problem of double images, loss of sharpness and worst of all chromic abberation on the edges of the leaves due to the HDR process. Sort of making sure there is absolutely no wind to move those leaves between shots, do you have any tips to deal with these problems?

  • Hey Trey, what if you have the old HDR tutorial? Do you get a free upgrade? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • HI Christian,

This is actually a completely new series – it’s not replacing the HDR Tutorial.

I will say I toke the “Live Class” It was wonderful. The part that really just gave me such a boost was the post processing. Just amazing work and really felt some of this was in my reach. So the shoot was excellent but The post just made it all worth wile for me.
