Daily Photo – Inside Hearst Castle

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any photos from Hearst Castle, but this one stuck out to me. These rooms are so ridiculous in a way, yes? I mean, even if I had all the money in the world, I don’t think I’d ever want a room like this in my house! It’s so formal and unlivable… I prefer something a bit more comfy!

So true Trey, just think of all the house work and dusting, you would not have the time to put your rear on the chair. All the same, there is much to look at. They must have had a lot of money and many an idle person in those days to get them to do all that work.
The rich were rich and there seems that there was no other, than pawns, so they could move them were they wanted them.

  • It makes me feel amazed when I see the glossy effect in the picture of hearst castle’s interiors!

  • Well… Melbourne has decoated appropriately in anticipation of this event.
    See you Friday! Cheers!

Just love your Hearst stuff, great processing and extra good work on the lights… You are a masking and layering wizard. You need to do a Top 12 of 2012 for the folks. Here is my Top 12 of 2012.!i=2303042111&k=Tv45pz7

There is a ton to look at in this pic Trey. It’s awesome! I dig your hearst pics, they are way cool.

Love the farm house with the fence, well captured.

  • Andrea Boyle

I hope your travels take you to the 12 Apostles while in Southern Australia and some opportunities to see the little Penguins returning from the sea in the evening. All I got were footprints…

  • Kathy Robinson

I could live here and love it! I would sit, crawl, run, jump and hug all the statues and scream.
