Daily Photo – A Rocky Morning

One morning when I crawled out of my tent in Argentina, a dense cloud was just rolling through. I got out to explore a bit, and the cloud quickly blew away to reveal an amazing landscape.

I had planned just to take a few shots and then go back to the camp and make some breakfast.  But then, I saw something interesting just around the other side of the rocks.  And then, I got over there and saw something else that might be interesting.  And it was.  And then I saw something even further away…

  • Fantastic pic – only the grey clouds seem not to fit, they are a bit too dark – my eye goes directly to the heavy grey cloud on the left corner. I am wondering if it would help if the grey is not so dark, or maybe a crop would help. Can’t help it – somehow the grey is not doing any good to the pic – Hope you understand what I mean with that, Trey

  • splendid…the clouds just beautiful…..

  • Nice. The contrast between the blue mountains in back and the brighter foreground really jumps out

  • Great picture trey! Just wanna ask if you do pre-HDR processing like increasing sharpness or adding negative clarity? I couldn’t get sharp images like yours during daytime. Any advice?

  • Another fantastic scene from Argentina!!! Thanks for sharing, Trey!

  • Trey…awesome shot!! Love the colors!! Have fun!

  • Trey,
This shot is incredible. Your shots from Argentina are my favorite. I would love to travel there someday, especially since I just received my Sigma 10-20mm (wish I could afford the 14-24mm) lens in the mail yesterday. I am really excited to get some wide angle shots with it!

  • Thanks!

Birgit – yeah I know what you mean… I thought about lightening it, but it WAS so dark… hmmm – I will think about this!

Agustin – if it is a bit blurry, try http://www.stuckincustoms.com/topaz-adjust-review/ – that is what I use at the end sometimes to sharpen.

    Gail – thanks as always!

    Peter – thx mate!

Brad – no worries – that Sigma rocks – some of my best shots are with that lens!
