Erosion at the Continental Divide

This was a pretty cool area of Glacier National Park – the continental divide. For those of you that have never been there, this is the line that runs through the Rocky Mountains and separates the flow of water from one side of the continent to the other. We put Ethan up there and he did his own little part for erosion while I snapped away! ๐Ÿ™‚

Cool shot of Ethan! He’s doing what all boys love to do!

Trey, this is an amazing shot, in the 70’s I rode trail horses through here from Banff to Mount Assiniboine base..the erosion was evident even then this shot though is as good as seeing it live honestly, you know when you’ve been somewhere and you say well it’s not as good as really seeing it well this is…wonderful image and processing. You can no longer ride the horses up, just helicopter or hike, or ski I believe..but this is as good as it gets for sure..

Great presentation at CapMac last night. You certainly filled in the steps that I had been missing. And, I want to buy you that Capuccino since I live in the Austin area. This will be a real “Seattle” style Capuccino, which is the best!

  • Nice spot to build a house!

  • Great shot, Trey. Your little boy looks like he’s having a great time!!!! We did a trip with 5 kids in 1984 to the West when we still lived in Michigan. This picture reminds me of happy times back then. My hubby had his 40th birthday at the park. The kids were having fun throwing snowballs at him ;-). Thanks for sharing another wonderful picture. Hope your speech went well, I’m sure it did.
