神秘的谷歌“小憩室”

再次感谢“Google苏黎世”

在苏黎世的Google分部发生了件趣事。我们做了一档 Google+ 在线访谈，借用了他们一间特别会议室，叫“天网”(SkyNet)。节目进行到一半，遮光帘突然自动拉上了，实在是诡异得很。我拿他们的“天网”打趣，之后便听到身后传来紧张的笑声。

借着来苏黎世分部的机会，Brian White 带我来到了这处水下绿洲。这里便是各位GoogleI欧洲精英调整小憩的地方。具体什么情形没看到，不过想象得出：一群人身着入时的俱乐部打扮，在这里静静来去。

周围淌着细细的水声，颇有禅意。想怎么打盹儿都可以: 陶瓷浴缸铺着红色的浴棉、皮质按摩椅安安静静绝不吵你，还有很多其它的设施供你选择……

The Secret Google Chilling VatOn the tour around the cool Zurich offices, Brian White took me into this watery oasis. It is where euro-Googlers come to nap when they need a brain-break. I don't know for sure, but I imagine them slinking around in here while wearing trendy euro-clubbing clothes.There were soft water-sounds wafting about, and everything was very zen. 柔情夜色苏黎世

细理瑞士之行

整理这批照片耗时相当长。再加上我的得宝(Drobo)存储器出了点问题，弄得我很郁闷，影响了进度。这让我一度对“得宝”失去了信心，我倒还没弃用得宝，不过的确心存疑虑。

每日一瞥——柔情夜色苏黎世

缓缓流淌的大河映出许多美丽的倒影。

高清渲染(HDR)的一个问题是会造成“重影”——不同镜头呈现不同影像。一般倒影中的重影我不会处理，照片倒有几分印象派的味道。某种意义上，这也赋予了照片水之“印象”，使之游移于影像与人的记忆之间。

Soft Zurich at NightThese slow-moving huge rivers make for some very nice reflections.With HDR there is a problem of "ghosting" which is when the various frames show different things. I usually leave the water alone when it gets ghosted because it has sort of an impressionistic feel to it, I think. In a sense, it gives the "impression" of water, which is somewhere between a photo and our memory.More here at the Stuck in Customs blog.

赏桥苏黎世

更多瑞士风景稍后奉上

瑞士的图片发得有点慢，真抱歉… 最近这段时间很忙，计划有些滞后。但是我已经制定了一个绝佳计划，照片会尽快整理好并呈献给大家！

每日一瞥——赏桥苏黎世

我钟爱河流经过的古老城市，往往会有很多小桥横跨两岸。我不明白，为什么像奥斯丁这样的许多城市没有依水而建。 兴许是担心发洪水，或者有其他考虑。然而到了后来，每每要在城市兴建大工程，便会难免显得突兀。 一座座古城、一条条河流，其中所沉淀的自然质感远远胜过后人的规划宏图。

Bridges in ZurichI love these old cities that are centered around a river with dozens of little bridges that cross to and fro. It vexes me why Austin (or hundreds of other cities) have not centered the whole city around the river. Maybe it has something to do with flooding or something... I'm not totally sure. But whenever cities try to start a big development around the river later in the city's life, it seems a little bit forced. 采尔马特的街道

冰川特快

再次感谢各位对瑞士之行的建议。虽然无法全部做到，但“冰川特快”绝对是个绝妙的点子。七个小时穿行于阿尔卑斯山脉，简直太奇妙了。还把我带到了这儿……

晚饭过后，我独自带着iPod出去晃街。微微飘着小雨，不但不碍事，反而增加了些许情调。温暖的木屋，清冷的天空，湿润的街道，匆匆的行人……我尽力将所有这些都收录到相片中。

The Streets of ZermattAfter dinner one evening, I went out with my iPod to explore the streets alone. There was a light cool rain, but it didn't bother me a bit. It added to the mood and everything felt great. The warm cabins, the cool sky, the wet streets, people hurrying to and fro to get warm food and drinks... Google好时光!

好他人之所恶

我在Google+ 发表了一片文章，名为 “为什么我喜欢‘好照片’、‘哇哦’之类评论，其它人也无须抱怨”，文章大受欢迎！12小时之内居然突破了500条评论。我想你们一定也很喜欢，因为在这里也一样很火！

每日一瞥——Google 好时光！

Google一位叫 Brian White的摄影师通过G+联系我，当时我人在瑞士，他问我是否愿意来参观苏黎世分部。当时我正好已经乘飞机离开，昨天下午又乘火车从采尔马特出发与他会和。

在Google和Google+团队我认识了很多很有意思的人。想认识他们吗？来看看 Google+ 相关更新吧。

我们在他们的办公室录了一期Google+ 在线节目 (相关图片) ，还与全球不同地方的人做了在线链接。甚至还有个身在布拉格的越南朋友表演悦耳的吉他曲！太好玩儿了！

节目结束后，我们去了大楼顶层的Google图书馆一同拍照。看到左边那俩人了么？他们不大甩我们，可能是因为他们是严肃的德国人，正在下棋…… 千万别跟德国人下棋。

A great day at Google!So, a fellow photographer at Google named Brian White contacted me through G+ and asked if I wanted to visit the Zurich offices while I was in Switzerland. It just so happened that I am flying out of Zurich, and I took a train from Zermatt yesterday afternoon to meet him.I met all sorts of interesting people there from Google and from the Google+ team. To see everyone I met and circle them, see the Google+ post about this.We did a live Google+ Hangout (see photo) from their offices and had people connect from all over the world. We even had a Vietnamese guy in Prague join and play us an acoustic guitar song! It was really fun…After the Hangout, we went up to the Google library on the top floor of their offices to take this photo together. See those people there on the left? They mostly ignored us. I think this is because they were serious Germans playing a board game. Never play a board game with a German.

Glacial Lake in the Alps

This was taken in Switzerland and it shows a few landlocked glacial lakes and a few glaciers high in the alps. The clouds came out puffy with some nice shadows down below.
