Inside and Outside the Duomo
Here is a collage I put together the other night about midnight when I could not sleep. This is an alternating series from the roof and the inside of the Duomo in Milan.
God is in the Details
This shot of the Gesu Nuovo in Naples came out with incredible details. If you have high-bandwidth, check out this version.
Milan Train Station
Aren’t those lights cool? That is the real color of those lights… no photoshop trickery…
More Churches of Italy
The top picture here is the Santa Maria Maggiore, the basilica that was across the street from my hotel in Rome. The second shot is from the interior of one of the side-chapels. The last is a little collage I made of my Churches of Italy set on Flickr.

Principe di Savoy
This is the extremely bright, shiny, and colorful bar inside the Principe di Savoy in Milan. This is where the Rolling Stones stayed and brought a big group of aging roadies with them.
Gothic Spires
Here is a cool view from the top of the Duomo that looks rather surreal with the HDR treatment.
Roman Laundry
This is an area of Italy that dates back over 2000 years. This tiny roof and “canal” area is where Roman women would come and wash clothes while their men were off fighting the Gauls.
It’s now been converted to a little cafe where Italian people sit around and complain about Zidane, a modern day Gaul.
More Church Interiors
Here are a few more church interiors from around Italy. The first was taken near the altar of the Duomo. Someone on Flicker noted that it looked like something out of an Asimov novel, which I thought was an apt description.
The hardest thing about these shots was hiding my tripod from the security guards, and then feigning absolute ignorance when they came up to me shaking their first like Wario when he loses in Mario Party.
Summer Home
No, this is not my summer home, but I did hang out there in Milan and sweat heavily while wishing it had air conditioning.
Rainbow over the Duomo
One night before dark I looked out of my hotel room and saw this, so I had to pull out the camera, of course.
