日落柔水

Photomatix

A friend here in Perth hills has a Japanese style home but separate rooms like kitchen separate bed rooms lounge and so forth and each has connecting covered walkways even over a creak which is nice and strong come winter. All deciduous trees cover the 1 acre block with wild flowers in the spring. The problem I see here, not much grows as in trees other than grass. Nic pic but.

Very beautiful, Trey. What a wonderful idea to have this stream flowing thru your home!! Thanks for sharing, have a great Sunday! We are finally back home as of yesterday, whew!!

Beautiful – yes it would be nice to listen to the water while you are sleeping!

Trey, I have trouble with the outcome of Photomatix when doing night HDR. If I shoot in ISO 100 to reduce the noise, I end up with like 3 exposures which are all identical because they are at the 30 second mark. If I shoot in a higher ISO to correct this, my outcome is far too noisy. How do you deal with this?

I’ve thought of that often…nice to know others think that way… :)

The colors in that sky are pretty incredible…wouldn’t mind seeing that every night!

Again a beautiful place and a beautiful photo. The light and the colors are fantastic.

Take the lens cap off ;) But seriously, if you are using 30 sec exposures then I don’t think there is enough light to do HDR.

    Thanks! :)

Yes – what Bob said. Also, try to get your F stop as low as possible…. if you can shoot at f4 or lower, then you can probably get 4 or 8 sec exposures in the bracketing.

This creek is beautiful, but a little stark for me to build a house over. But I agree that living near running water is a joy. I used to sleep near a running river and never had a bad night’s sleep.

    Thanks to both of you!

For anyone unaware, Frank Lloyd Wright actually executed this concept perfectly in his Falling Water house. It’s spectacular. http://www.fallingwater.org/
