边缘

 

来自维京戈尔达

今天的照片跟下面的视频取自同一处海滩。本来可以用Sony NEX-7拍的，但我选了D800，因为比较喜欢广角的感觉。我是说，其实这没什么大不了的，只不过觉得用起 D800更加得心应手。

然而，我相信如果用Sony NEX-7，也能拍出非常接近的效果。

真希望我的D800有个翻转萤幕！近地拍摄太难了，有木有？我是说，Live View是能帮上点忙，不过要彻底弄明白还真不容易。

有些拍摄姿势(我称之为“机经”) 那是相当的虐啊。这两年还好些，不“卧倒”也能大概想得出拍的照片是什么样……

    I would totally agree with you on that matter,there are times I have been so low my glasses have come off and it is painful. There are times I take a flat 8x6x1/2in with a bolt thread the same as the camera and a small level then set 2 second timer if composition needs to move to the left then I have the markings on the sand then just move left ,right,back ,forward. Just another innovative idea. Another good shot.

    I agree totally Trey. I found myself developing new positions for different situations. I will never find a better way to describe the experience than camera-sutra. Hahahaha!

    Trey, I think you mean articulating, not reticulating, screen :)

    Thanks for the video on the NEX and HDR. I think the overall ergonomics on a DSLR are better for most shooting situations. The ability to quickly adjust settings such as focus, ISO, brackets, etc. makes a difference when in the field. The NEX looks ‘fiddly’, and you need to navigate a bunch of menus to get anything done. That seems like it just gets in the way.

    I can certainly see owning one of these in the future, the size is certainly appealing, but I’ll stick with my D800 for now.

    How about one of the external screens that you can mount in the hotshoe? Not as elegant as the articulating screen, but better quality, bigger, and hey, it works when you’re this low. Just add it to the bag of tricks :P

    It’s quite interesting that sometimes you can destroy the rule of thirds and put the visual horizon running right through the middle of the photo and it only seems to make the image even more beautiful and engaging. Well done again! (PS How was the Flight of the Conchords show? Love them!)

    You mention the NEX 7 – which I am thinking of buying along with the 16mm lens and the ultra wide-angle converter for it – and was wondering what you thought of the 16mm lens?

    My first Nikon F3 film camera I had a 90 degree veiwer that srcewed into the eye piece.

    Oh my. This shot is pretty freaking amazing Trey. My wife and I are sitting here trying to pick between it and another for a limited edition print for the new office.. Quit putting out so many dang great photos — you are making it hard for us to decide ;)

    Fantastic. But for the specific type of clouds, the way you,ve framed it this could almost be a tarn in the Sierra.

    Hi Trey. You can now connect your D800 with capture one and a mac book pro. Use the laptop screen as your viewer taking low res proof shots, then switch to raw for the big image.

    Love the colours in the sky and I’m also a big fan of the middle horizon. As Rage Against The Machine once said, “screw the conventional rules of composition” or something like that.
