尼康D800：首照

为什么我选尼康D800

Colby有了，Bill有了，Jarvie也有了，还在我们的访谈视频里各种秀啊！

所以我写了这篇博文：http://www.stuckincustoms.com/2012/01/04/dslrs-are-a-dying-breed-3rd-gen-cameras-are-the-future/谈谈单反的行将就末——现在我依然坚持。当中我提到，单反即将退出，接下来的几年中，无反射镜相机将占据主流。我是再也不往单反里砸钱了——不过那时候尼康D800还没出来呢：只用花上一般的价钱，效果却比D3X更好！所以嘛……嘿嘿，到视频中找真相吧。

每日一瞥——赛弗伦斯音乐厅

谈话开始我分享了这张照片。这张是早晨参观赛弗伦斯音乐厅时用尼康D800 (Lester借给我的) 拍摄的。

我打算开一个 Nikon D800评论专栏页面，用接下来几周时间表达一下我的看法，再拍几张样图。一时半会儿应该完不了工，但至少大家会了解一些我的观点和对相机的评论。

赛弗伦斯富丽堂皇，这里就是著名的克利夫兰交响乐团所在地，也是世界上最漂亮的演出大厅之一。如果你来克利夫兰，这里就是必到的景点！我拍了很多照片，以后也会给大家详细讲述。现在嘛……我折腾了一天，累得要死，大家慢慢欣赏哈！ :)

    My daughter loved this shot,being a pianist she has never seen such a grand Auditorium like this and a Steinway grand at that. A beautiful shot Trey,we don’t have things that grand or maybe,not sure. Have  a fabulous weekend.

    Hi Trey. I love the shot. It really looks epic and the detail is stunning. I just have a question. I see alot of chromatic abberation in the picture wich as far as i can remember almost never happened with your other camera. Is this because if the lens you shot it with? Just curious since i am getting my D800 today :-) Keep up the good work!

    still in college. Printing b&w in the darkroom and trying to master Gustave
    Le Gray’s multiple negative technique. Finding your blog opened a whole

    I don’t normally look at the full resolution (nor do I comment here), but I had to for the this D800 shot.  The amount of detail you can get is amazing.  There’s a lot of detail in the ceiling even all the way in the back.  The floor scratches came out very well, too.  This was a good setting for a first D800 shot because of all the details.

    Beautiful!  It was nice to see you at Kent State last night and it’s great to see such an awesome landmark here in Cleveland get your HDR treatment.  That’s some pretty nice access you got there :) .  I wanted to come say “hi” to you since I haven’t seen you since I took your workshop in Tokyo 2 years ago (hard to believe it’s been that long) but as soon as I saw you get mobbed after the last question, I figured I’d wait until you posted the Severance photo here.  So thank you again!

    Another great shot from you.  And we all know it’s not just about the camera.  Just one part of the “photo tripod” – subject, photographer and equipment.  

    Is this more than three images?  I’ve been experimenting with different numbers of exposures and different ranges to try to achieve the most natural look so I can minimize my computer time and maximize my camera time.

    Wow – that’s going to look good on canvas. 30″x20″ at 240dpi without any scaling whatsoever! It’s also the first time I’ve seen any CA on an image shot with the Nikon 14-24mm so I guess there are minor downsides to that high a resolution! :-)

    This is a wonderfull shot and a way cool camera, this as an HDR is very nice, but for myself and others that prefer not to use hdr, if you have  time to, could you post a example of this camera with just a single frame.  You are one that could give a good referance shot for other people to ‘Benchmark’ against….Stoney,A900  Thanks again

    I know.  Next time :)   Especially if you’re ever back in Japan (or Cleveland for that matter…though to be honest Japan is more picturesque!).  Looking forward to seeing some more photos you got of my city!

    Nice photo, Trey. Talk about putting your foot in your mouth :-) I think you are always going to buy the next greatest thing that is released from Nikon. .that’s the only way that you can continue to be competitive as a professional shooter ! Mirrorless is for amateurs.

    Congrats on your upgrade. In your D800 review, would you mind doing a comparison between the D3X and the D800, two hdrs from the same spot with the same lense?

    Nice composition and processing, Trey.

    And, yes, I have to laugh at the fact that you now own a D800 after your little anti-DSLR diatribe.  But note that I’m laughing with you, not at you, because I agreed wholeheartedly with what you wrote and now find myself sitting next to a shiny new 5D Mark III…  :D

    I attended the talk at Kent yesterday, and it was really awesome. You made some great points n’ really got me to think about where I want to head with my photography and life in general. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the meet n’ greet but I was just beyond happy to be able to attend. Thanks for always inspiring…also it was hilarious when you talked about adding in the moon in photoshop.

    I totally get the idea behind your original post, by the way.   After my D800 arrived it occurred to me, “huh.   this’ll probably be the last camera .. of this kind.. that I buy…”    Something new and more interesting will be along the next time I’m in the market for a $3k camera.  I’m sure whatever that is, it won’t look like the bulky, mirror-flippy throwbacks inspired by their film predecessors that we carry today.

    Just thought I’d pitch that in there, I see more negativity about the original article flowing via the G+Tubes today.

    And to think that people shrugged it off when I said that your claim about going Mirroless was drastic and the info put forth inaccurately.
    While the mirrorless cameras are quite impressive, and offer some wonderful files, we have still much to see from all other categories ( SLR or  Medium Format) Its nice to see that you’ve readjusted your stance.

    I am still thinking about a D800 but will wait until I can compare it with the D800e. Have you had a closer look at the D4? I just got mine and started to play around. It´s seems to be a hybrid – DSLR and MILC! You have a couple of options with liveview (mirror up)  in photomodus that makes her tremendously valuable for wildlife shooting (pics of course!) since there is a “silent mode” . In size nothing has changed of course. I sold my D3x, my D700 and two of my old bodies and get the D4 and the D800 for almost no extra money. Not bad!

    Wow that is a stunning venue and as usual you’re behind the scenes and on the stage!   I’ d love to know how you get in to these places where you do.  ;-)

     As for the SLR/mirrorless debate goes I myself was enchanted with the new 5D MarkIII and it once I found out it shoots up to 7 bracketed shots (a huge improvement from the 3 I have now with the 5D Classic) I was sold!  However I’m seriously considering not getting it now in favor of an entire 4/3′s system for the price of just the Canon body.  I’ve played with the Sony NEX series and like them but there’s no view finder and coming from SLR and Hasselblad way back I just can’t get used to shooting using that screen.  I know the 7 has an electronic one and it just looks odd to me.

    I’ve also looked at the new Olympus OEM-D which looks promising.  Looks and feels just like a mini SLR, battery pack included.  My hesitation on that one is the sensor size, it’s a 2x crop and going from full frame it leaves me a bit leery of image quality.  There’s also the Nikon J and V1′s which have a great feel in the hand, view finder, flash, etc – but small sensor again.  The neat thing about the Olympus is that you can get an adapter to put just about ANY lens on it, including my existing Canon ones.

    I’m curious to know if you’ve tried any of these cameras, or the Panasonic G series which I know other people like.
