Oh wow! Such a great shot – beautiful – love how you can see that reflection on the water! Also wonderful talk at the Apple store in Austin tonight – super job!

You may have pulled the trigger in shock, but you got the shot because you were prepared for it. Fantastic!

An amazing accident! Sadly, I will never experience these “staccato waves” … :( Fantastic shot Trey.

I live the way the flames are reflecting an orange color in the water, beautiful image! I wish there were more of these launches to watch. I bet the sound of a shuttle going up was awesome, did you get a chance to record the sound?

What a wonderful capture, Trey. Your photo of the Endeavor is the best one I’ve seen!!!!! Have a wonderful Sunday :-)

I meant to say I love the way the flames are reflecting an orange color in the water.

    Nice photo but…

“I was as close as humanly possible to the launch, on the edge of the media area in the NASA compound.”

I’m assuming that this is STS-134 since you say it’s Endeavor. In which case there were at least 6 humans closer than you were.

Cool shot, I’m really glad you were there to capture these shots… I miss our Shuttle program already.

I saw Altantis at Kennedy not too long ago and I’ll just leave at this: It is surprising the emotional connection those of us that grew up watching shuttles fly can have with an inanimate object. Truly the end of an era.

That “mushroom cloud” at the bottom is amazing! Very cool accident to have!
