The Dramatic Chateau
I took photos of this side of the chateau twice. Once in the morning when the clouds were heavy, and once again in the afternoon when the clouds parted. I ended up liking this cloudy one better.
The New Garden Path Along the Great Wall of China
Just to get to this point required a long walk through a rocky forest. It wasn’t like the super-pristine part of the Great Wall — where you can drive up in a huge tour bus and park in huge parking lot. Instead, there was a “path” that was barely discernable that wove up through a forest along an old creekbed. I’m not sure I could find it again if I had to!
The Gardens of Queenstown
The class took a nice stroll through these gardens. I challenged people to try to get five different photos of this bridge, and this was one of mine.
The View From Above
Here is a good example of a daily image. I went to the top of the gondola with Tom Anderson to look down on Queenstown, New Zealand from above. I want to sleep up here one night to get the sunrise… if anyone can hook me up with that, drop me a note! :) I’ll bring the hot chocolate!
Fun with the Fisheye in Paris
This is a close up of one of the two chandeliers in the entry way of my hotel in Paris. I was still getting used to the fisheye at this point, so it took me about five shots to get this exact one I wanted.
Under the Bridge in Central Park
And here is one of the final images from the video you can see at the blog by clicking on the image…
Morning Reflections of Bowen Falls
We had a great still morning in Milford Sound! I think, in retrospect, that it was very very risky taking everyone down there. The weather could have been horrible the whole time and there would be no shots! But, we got lucky and everything was beyond awesome.
The Amazing Bridge in Sydney
I really wanted to get up there on the bridge, but they don’t let you take your camera, which is a real bummer. I wish I could get special permission some time. Whoever can get me special permission can go with me – that would be a blast!
Walking in Yosemite
Here’s a photo from a walk along this beautiful little path in Yosemite. It looks very serene and welcoming, yes? Well it is! I was sad I only got to spend one day here in the forest… I’d like to go back.
Bryant Park in New York City
This is where I ended my walk that night in New York City. It was sort of a lazy, meandering walk… going here and going there. I lament that I never got a shot inside the awesome library, but the tripod police were out in full force. I actually felt like I was in more danger there than in the middle of this New York City park in the middle of the night!
