Best Wallpaper for your iPad

I have put together 15 amazing wallpapers to make your iPad beautiful!  You don’t want to have an iPad with sorry-lookin’ wallpaper, do you?  Of course not!  So, here is a great option for you… plus, it is a great way to support the site.  I hope these make your iPad even cooler!

Add to Cart Wallpaper Pack #1 $4.97 15 Beautiful Wallpapers. Also includes 15 bonus “blurred” versions of the wallpapers as a background option.
Add to Cart Wallpaper Pack #2 $4.97 15 More Beautiful Wallpapers! Also includes 15 bonus “blurred” versions of the wallpapers as a background option.
Add to Cart Wallpaper SuperPack $9.97 Includes Pack 1 and Pack 2, Plus 3 Bonus Wallpapers for FREE! With the extra blurred versions, you are receiving 66 images!

I appreciate your support! By purchasing, the customer hereby agrees to the Terms and Conditions.

Also works on your iPhone

Setting up Wallpapers on your iPad and your iPhone are virtually the same. All the wallpapers will work seamlessly for both.

Hi-Res Wallpaper

Each Wallpaper has been custom-sized so it looks amazing in both orientations of the iPad – portrait and landscape. Each photo has been “oversized” so that the long side is 1500 pixels. That means that it will automatically have the best resolution on all sides no matter how you look at it!

Why doesn't your iPad look like this? It can! :)

Screenshots of images from iPad Wallpaper Pack #1. These are my personal iPad lock screen and background wallpaper (they can be different)

Wallpaper Pack #1

The first wallpaper pack includes 15 of my most popular images.  I selected these because I thought they looked stunning on that iPad screen. I think you will agree!

iPad Wallpaper Pack #1. These are the 15 wallpapers you will receive! Easy and ready to go! In addition, you get another 15 "blurred" versions of these that you can use as an option on the Home Screen.

Wallpaper Pack #2

The first pack did so well, I put together another one! Here are 15 more great ones for you!

iPad Wallpaper Pack #2. 15 more beautiful wallpapers for your iPad or iPhone.

New! Blurred Versions Included!

Why would we include blurred versions? Well, I got this idea from the great Frederick Van Johnson, who showed me how nice it looks when the icons “pop” off the blurred (or bokeh) background. You may not wish to use these, but it is an option that is included for free nonetheless.

Many people choose to keep the "clean" and detailed version on the Lock Screen.

And then, they use the "blurred" or bokeh version on the inside, which can help to make the icons feel like they are "floating" atop.

More Sample Screenshots

Below are a few more samples of what you get in the various Wallpaper Packs

This is one of my favorite images from the iPad Wallpaper Pack #2. it was taken in Iceland around 2 AM, just a few days from the Summer Solstice.

This is the blurred version of the same wallpaper, which is an option since you can have a different photo for the home page. The Icons look amazing as they float across the bokeh background.

One of the new wallpapers included in Wallpaper Pack #2

You will enjoy looking at the various orientations of the wallpapers in portrait and landscape mode. We did our best to select ones that would look stunning in every configuration.

This image from Wallpaper Pack #2 has the simple zen peace of these wonderful New Zealand mountains called "The Remarkables"

Inside, if you so choose, you can select the blurred version if you want a special look.

This Japanese Snow Monkey will be so happy when you have his image on your iPad. He might just stay in the hot tub for another few hours.

Instructions – It’s Simple!

1. After purchase, you will receive a download link for the ZIP file.
2. Unzip them and import into iPhoto (or a program that lets you sync photos with your iPad)
3. Sync with your iPad, then enter the Settings areas of your iPad to use your new photos! :)
4. Note: The Wallpapers now include a “Blurred” version of each one! Some people like to have the “Clear” version on the Lock Screen and the “Blur” version on the Home Screen. The Blurred background makes your icons “pop out” and not get lost in the background.

To set up your new wallpapers, simply click the Photos icon.

This is my "Super Pack" album that I made. It has all the photos inside, including both versions of each wallpaper.

After clicking on a photo, you can choose that little icon in the upper right to set as a Wallpaper.

After choosing Set As Wallpaper, you can choose to make it your "Home Screen", your "Lock Screen", or "Both". Simple!

Are they in 1024×1024 size? For when the iPad gets rotated to landscape it makes use of a square sized wallpaper to not just stretch the portrait image.

  • 3

Pit – I have sized everything so that the LONGEST side is actually 1600 pixels across. So that means that the shorter size is super-hi-res. So, every angle you spin your iPad should look amazing.

Wow. When the iPad comes to the UK I might just have to purchase these. Beautiful!

  • 6

These look amazing and I really like your work. Since I’m getting 2 iPads that won’t be here until “late April” and will most likely take some questions about the iPad on our vacation to Hawaii, having some very nice wallpaper to show off seems a really good idea right now.

    Thanks!

Fantastic pictures – saw them on TWIT of course! Where else???

Wow, really interesting wallpapers! But… are their size correct?
I thought the resolution for iPad wallpapers is 1024×1024 pixels.

    I usually take wallpapers from:
    http://www.wallpapers-for-ipad.com

The resolution there is the correct one and there is an option to see how it would fix on the iPad display in horizontal or vertical. Its good.

  • 11

    Thanks all :)

Steve – yes everything is the right size. 1024×1024 would mean they all have the be square — since mine are not square, I have them bigger so they are hi res both ways… anyway – trust me – everything is spot on.

Oh man, $5? That is definitely below my “blindly pull the trigger” threshold. Thanks, they look fantastic!

I notice the confirmation email calls it “pack 1″, does that mean there may be more to come? Fingers crossed that a good Hong Kong shot will show up in pack 2.

  • 17

Thanks for creating the backgrounds and pricing them at such a low price, Trey! While I don’t think these are your all time best shots I think they’ll look fantastic on the iPad and I definitely look forward to more bundle packs from you.

iPads are taking over the hospital my girlfriend works at, she has started showing off your wallpapers and has begun a new trend within the hospital!
    The staff loves them!
Love a majority of your work! and happy to help you sell some!

  • 19

    Hehe very cool! :)

I see there is some demand for Pack 2… I need to get some time to put that together! :)

Trey, I’m glad you’re paying attention to the iPad. If you haven’t already, I suggest you stop publishing your blog on the Kindle. Your beautiful photos look awful on the Kindle and do nothing good for your reputation.

    Thanks

  • 35

I have some suggestions here on the site for HDR Cameras – see the link there on the right?

Also, the website design is all custom I’m afraid… no templates or anything. You can try 99designs.com – they do good work

  • 36

I was wondering if you could share how its done. I made some wallpapers for my ipad, but when i rotate it, the images have black borders. how do you make it so when you do rotate the images are borderless? does it require making 2 versions of same image? but how to make it rotate to proper image?

    43

    Trey,

Loved the first set and will for sure purchase the second set. Is there some way to get the blurred versions of the first set(upgrade) already purchased?

  • 44

    Thanks!

Scott – I wish there was – we are just getting hundreds of requests for that and can’t satisfy them all, I’m afraid… sorry mate!

  • Paul B.

    45

Awww man. So early adopters who jumped on the first set have to pay the most of all to get everything? The prices are still reasonable I suppose but I can’t help but feel left out in the cold for my initial willingness to support. There is really no way to offer an upgrade to everyone who bought the first pack? Or even sell a pack for like $7.50 that has everything from the big pack except for the original clear images from pack 1.
I don’t know… Trey is pretty techno savy. I bet he will come up with something.

  • 46

hehe sorry mate – we are getting hundreds of emails… can’t get to them all… sorry about that. BUT, there will be a future “Super Pack” with all kinds of stuff… I am sure it will come out in the wash. I hope to keep everything reasonably priced. If we had a big team like Amazon, we could probably do more upgrade-pricing type stuff!

  • 47

    Trey,
Just purchased the 1st Pack. Where are the blurred images?

  • 48

Mitch – we had an Amazon S3 Error – I’ll have the team get you the right version ! :)

  • John

    49

How do I get these to put on my I-Mac?

  • 50

John – well, it should be simple. After downloading them, you get a ZIP file. After you open that, you get all the wallpapers that you can put where ever you like. They can be used as backgrounds on your iMac as well.

  • 51

    Trey,
I am still waiting on the blurred images.
    Thanks

Absolutely great work. Please let me know when the site is fixed so I can purchase the iPad set. Today all I get is an “INVALID PROCESSOR” error. Last time I checked, my processors were as valid as the next guys…
