Dropbox Review
Dropbox is great. I subscribed to it several months ago and I can’t believe how often I use it!
I continually had problems sending people large files. Email was always an issue and FTP was a drag. I wanted something as quick and seamless as possible, and Dropbox fit the bill.
Here is what I use it for:
- Giving large files to people
- Having a drive on the computer that is automatically synced to all my other computers
The video on the Dropbox Page gives a very good description of how it works. Basically, after you install it, you have a new directory on your computer called “Dropbox”. Everything you put in there is mirrored online AND anywhere else you use Dropbox. Inside Dropbox there is a directory called “Public”. Anything you put in there can be shared with anyone you desire. When you r-click a file in there, you can say “Get URL”, which then you can paste to a friend. Easy cheesy!

I LOVE Dropbox!! I use it on all of my computers. I can’t get my work laptop on my home network for some reason, but I can share files easily with it. I also shared files with my family easily with it. Just an amazingly fantastic program!!!!
