Cave Blue
Here is an older shot taken around the coast of Napoli where the water was exceptionally clear.
Shafts and Masts
This is one of my favorite pictures of Naples in Italy. There is a marina down by the castle that overlooks Vesuvius and Pompeii. I took this one very early in the morning, just after the sun rose over the dormant volcano.

Naples in Color and B&W
Here are two shots of Naples. I usually don’t do much black and white but I like this one.
Morning at the Castle
Here is the castle d’ovo in Naples under a cool blue morning sky.
The Foreboding Church of Valerio’s Marriage
Here is where my friend Valerio got married in Naples. It looks a bit evil, doesn’t it?
Morning Sun on Naples
Very early in the morning I got lucky and caught the sun before it rose above that heavy cloud layer. For only a few minutes, it brightly illuminated all of Naples across the bay. The rest of the time I was there, this area was fairly hazy and poorly lit. For this one, I recommend you click here to see the “Large on Black” version.
Castle Morning
Here are some people that were either drunk, confused, bored, or totally into eachother in front of the castle in Naples before 7 AM in the morning.
Skull Head from Rome
This is an extremely detailed mosaic that was uncovered in Pompeii and now resides in the Museum of Archeology in Naples. I am pretty sure this is the same skull that inspired the beginning of that show Rome on HBO, which is really a good show, by the way.

The Gesu of Naples
This is when Valerio, Sergio, and I spent about an hour inside one of the most grand basilicas in Naples.
